  1. 2 one pitch outs to end a promising inning. Talk about frustrating! If I was managing I'd tell these guys a first pitch out gets you benched tomorrow.
  2. I quoted Laika. I guess you didn't read it. ^^^^
  3. Vlad!!?? He's the biggest Betty Crocker on the team right now. What's the plan for him? Tell the pitcher to be ready to field a dribbler? He better step up and quick!
  4. Vladimir Guerrero Junior. A good player, some would say a great player, is in the worst 2-week stretch of his career right now. When the team needs him the absolute most. Right before spring training when he stood there and said the Jays weren't close in their offer, he talked (through Hector Lebron) about how his "Lawyers" were handling it. I was pi$$ed off about the whole thing and started a thread about trading him for someone clutch. I was quoted advanced stats, late and close numbers being good or something to that effect. My response was clutch to me meant success in big moments of the season or in a playoff series. It's the biggest moments of the season right now and where is Vlad? He's getting tossed arguing a pitch that was a strike. He's hitting 40 foot dribblers to the pitcher on balls he should be destroying. He's hitting into double plays. He's getting paid to carry this team on his back, and failing big time. Come on, tell me again that he's clutch. Stats are for losers, isn't that how the saying goes?
  5. It looks bleak atm but a 4 game winning streak starting today would cure everything. The boys are squeezing the bats WAY too tight! We still own the top spot in the AL. It's time for the leaders on this team to lead the way and get it done.
  6. Cleveland is leading the Central with a negative run differential at the moment. Weird!!
  7. Bullpen day tomorrow. Why are we burning another arm here when Berrios was in the game? Some of the things they do boggle the mind.
  8. After Berrios accused the runner at 2nd of relaying location the next pitch should have been chin music. It's time to put a stop to this BS.
  9. It won't matter. He needed to be an ace tonight and he wasn't. Meanwhile Crochet has 35 pitches through 3.
  10. What's the debate? He's been useless down the stretch when they need him most. If it wasn't for Springer this offense would be absolutely laughable right now.
  11. Clockwise I believe. Opposite to the runner.
  12. Correction. He'll be at 2nd. I'm sure he'll find some way to screw us there.
  13. I'm pretty good at reading people's faces (years of playing poker will do that) and that 3rd base umps face screamed "I know it was fair but I called it foul anyway". The worst part is he's behind the plate today. I can't wait.
  14. Yeah. Who could forget the Ben Revere at bat. He was banging trash cans long before the Astros. How could any rational person NOT believe the fix is in? It's been too many unbelievably bad calls against the Jays down this last stretch.
  15. Counting on another team to lose only seems to work for the Yankees. How about we take care of our own business and start a 4 game winning streak today? In reality the Yankees are the ones who need to have the Jays lose so they can win the division.
  16. A couple weeks ago everyone would have been saying bullpen. Now it's clearly the offense. I'll bet Austin Wells has been getting free dinners from his Yanker teammates for the same couple weeks.🤔
  17. Of course he was. I'm sure his rehab was fueled partly by wanting to be a part of a playoff team. He's a competitor after all. I would guess when he started to see the writing on the wall that he was asking questions at the very least. We all know he has a bit of an attitude so who knows how those conversations went.
  18. Right after one of his friends called a 2-run double down the line that was clearly fair a foul ball!!
  19. Fair ball!!! No question!!! Anyone remember the Manny Gonzalez game?
  20. Maybe they shouldn't use umps at all. How about soccer referees from South America who are less likely to be Yankees fans?🤨
  21. I think baseball needs to instruct umpires to give the "playmaker" the benefit of the doubt with the onfield calls. They can always overturn it later if evidence warrants it. Good players are getting robbed of great plays the way it stands. If the Lukes play was called interference by the ump on the field it would have stood. The Varsho play boggles the mind either way. That's the worst I've ever seen. That guy plays his a$$ off in centre and got robbed of a spectacular play.
