  1. Shouldn’t this org be smart enough to get Guerrero to drive balls in the air?
  2. I think everyone is Frenchsoup’s guy judging by the offseason posts.
  3. Pitching prospects break your heart.
  4. Thanks, couldn’t tell from my crummy view on my phone in public. That’s why I asked before chastising.
  5. Was he not hustling on the last out or is he that slow?
  6. Buck still can’t pronounce Schneider
  7. Probably inevitable. Don’t think the Astros are a smart org anymore ever since hiring Dusty, Dana Brown and letting the dynamic duo leave for Baltimore.
  8. Interesting part: “I know a lot of guys have beef with him in the league. So his comments aren't surprising," Raleigh said of Schneider
  9. Amusing little snippet. https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2889967
  10. I’m rooting for Isiah. Good defense at third base is a must in baseball, especially the AL East.
  11. Sad. I lost a parent at right after turning 21 and it was awful. To lose two at that age back to back is crushing. RIP.
  12. I hope Shapiro stays. The baseball ops may need a change if other teams continue to pass Toronto by in specific areas. And I actually am one of the few who doesn’t mind the investment in defensive players. I still have faith in Kiner-Falefa and Varsho’s fwar, lol.
  13. Guerrero speaking English for those who care. Kind of neat. I refuse to call him by his nickname because he’s a grown man.
  14. As long as their bottom line targets are met, I doubt anyone in the office cares about empty seats.
  15. The team is boring and they have the worst telecast in the majors with Buck and Hazel. Schulman also seems more cheerleader esque lately. I watch a couple games a week on mute but I usually watch many different teams almost every day. Toronto is often not one of those teams the last couple years. Haven’t been to the dome in 15 years and don’t plan to with skyrocketing prices.
  16. I think this regime has done an adequate job to this point but it’s disappointing to see other teams passing them in various areas that involve getting the most out of your players. I only see this getting worse. Times pass you by quickly in baseball these days. Even teams like the Tigers are starting to look to have brighter future than Toronto.
  17. I try not to overreact but this is still a non aesthetically pleasing team to watch. At least the pitching still seems at least adequate. The fan in me would have been fine with a VGJ non tender in the offseason and a Bichette trade a year ago for a haul. Not necessarily rebuilding moves but maybe moves that could have helped the present team? Unlike a lot of folks, I am fine with buying into defence (Varsho, IKF, KK) and pitching and the Turner add for offense but the over reliance on a declining Bichette at a premium defensive position and a replacement level Guerrero is annoying. In spite of all that, they can still be a high 80 win wild card team. Just thought the org would be farther ahead after 8-9 years.
  18. Noted Canadian hater Heyman said that Toronto is interested in trading for Yelich. What’s fair value for him?
  19. Some chatter about Glasnow and Margot to LAD. Nothing from anyone credible yet.
  20. I think it just illustrates how little of a chance the Jays had at him if he’s taking so little for 10 years to play with the Dodgers.
