  1. IKF is surprisingly 1 of only 5 Jays position players so far who have been above replacement level by fWAR. He's also the only one of those 5 who has a wRC+ below 100. Davis Schneider: 0.1 fWAR in 5 PA (269 wRC+) IKF: 0.1 fWAR in 13 PA (70 wRC+) Biggio: 0.1 fWAR in 18 PA (118 wRC+) Turner: 0.1 fWAR in 19 PA (141 wRC+) Vlad: 0.1 fWAR in 22 PA (150 wRC+) Every other position player on the Jays so far either has 0 or negative fWAR.
  2. If Francis ends up having to move back to the pen if he can't handle being a starter, and assuming Manoah still sucks, who becomes the 5th starter? YRod? Ricky? Mitch White lol?
  3. Some Fernando Perez info
  4. Would Bart be an upgrade on Serven before Jansen is back?
  5. f*** you still don't get it eh Sherm? Even Laila got it before you. Do I have to make my avatar pic bigger?
  6. Agreed. If Schneider's bat is for real, a Schneider+Varsho starting LF/CF combo will put up more fWAR than Varsho+KK. Clement should be the starting 3B over IKF. Biggio's bat stays in the lineup against RHP starters until he cools down again. RF Springer 1B Vlad SS Bichette DH Turner C Kirk CF Varsho 3B Clement LF Schneider 2B Biggio
  7. I don't give enough of a s*** to post receipts in this case. I screenshotted it in case of a ninja edit though, that should give you a hint.
  8. I wanted Hoskins for 1B which would move Vlad to DH, but all I was told was that wasn't realistic because coming off a major injury Hoskins would play almost all DH this season. Oh wait, Hoskins has already started 2 out of the Brewers first 3 games at 1B? That goes against everything I was told about why Hoskins wouldn't be as good of a fit for this team as I thought! Adding Hoskins would have been huge for this team in multiple ways, because not only would we have added a great 1B in Hoskins, Vlad's fWAR would automatically get juiced as the DH too, without the penalty of being atrocious defensively at 1B.
  9. All the IKF jokes on here saying JS can't wait to put IKF back in there tomorrow are easy layups. IKF is obviously going to play tomorrow, but not at the expense of Schneider or Clement. With lefty Tyler Alexander on the mound both Schneider and Clement will start tomorrow. RF Springer 1B Vlad SS Bichette DH Turner C Kirk LF Schneider 2B Clement 3B IKF CF Varsho Only way IKF doesn't play against LH starters is when Jansen is back, DH the C who isn't catching that day and make it a Turner 3B day. No way that would happen with Serven being the 2nd catcher right now.
  10. Clement could have ethered IKF with a good PA there Also I would have felt way better about the run possibly being brought in if Biggio was batting 7th ahead of KK
  11. I think the main reason Schneider will not get into the lineup much at 2B to start because the team isn't convinced that his bat plays better than Biggio vs RHP. Plus Biggio seems to be behind both IKF and Clement on the 3B depth chart, meaning the team probably doesn't have much of an appetite to start Biggio at 3B more just to get Schneider more starts at 2B. Against LHP Schneider will start every game at LF.
  12. Gausman starts tomorrow, Francis starts first game of Houston series
  13. Clement at 3B today Serven catching Vogelbach at DH
  14. It's Clement Was thinking maybe it would be Biggio and Schneider would sub in at 2B
  15. Next inning we find out who IKF's backup is to start, it's whoever replaces him at 3B
  16. Good call taking IKF out here
  17. Because Romano and Swanson are on IL, Pop also sucks hard, a 3rd single inning lefty RP in Little isn't needed right now with Mayza+Cabrera ahead of him, and YRod is still ramping up in Buffalo. Parsons is the first arm optioned the moment Romano or Swanson is back, or YRod is finished ramping up, whichever happens first.
  18. He literally said he was shocked when he found out he made the team He doesn't even think he should be here lol
  19. IKF needs to be taken out of this game asap His gold glove at 3B means nothing trying to erase a 1-5 deficit
  20. Some BA notes on Maroudis and Barriera
  21. I could see one of Schneider/Clement/Vogelbach getting into either this game or next game for IKF. Game 4 of the series is against a lefty so both Schneider and Clement are starting that one. I think IKF will start 4-5 of these first 7 games at 3B before the first off day. Already started yesterday and is guaranteed to start against LH starters with the way the current 26 man is constructed. Jays are currently scheduled to face 2 LH starters in the first 7 games (Alexander and Valdez). Keep in mind Turner should get at least 1 start at 3B in the first 7 games here, considering the team said he'll start 1-2 games in the field per week.
  22. Biggio 5 Varsho 7 Kiermaier 9 Was how they mostly aligned their lefty bats last season too. I think Kiermaier should be back batting 9th, and Varsho vs Biggio doesn't matter to me who bats 5th or 7th right now. I think Varsho's going to bounce back big this year.
