  1. Wait I just realized something. Not trying to justify John's decision here, but in this last stretch that Babe has been in the lineup everyday, the Jays haven't faced a single high-velo RHP starter during that time. I guess John is still chickening out when it comes to playing Babe vs high-velo RHP starters. Which is weird because Biggio also sucks against high-velo RHP starters, however it seems Medina has much worse splits vs lefties than righties, so that could be John's warped reasoning there.
  2. Where the f*** is Babe, John??
  3. If Atkins had hired a new manager last offseason instead of sticking with Schneider technically he wouldn't have used the "fire manager" card because Schneider was only the interim manager and they removed the interim tag. That's actually another one of the reasons why so many insiders were confused as to why Atkins didn't just go with someone new. He didn't even have to fire the guy he was replacing.
  4. 100% correct on the bolded. I remember multiple media members (both national and local) being very confused at Atkins' decision to bring Schneider back. A lot of insiders were expecting him to start fresh with a new manager instead of removing the interim tag from a manager that already had baggage (his f***ups in the Seattle series).
  5. Vlad's fWAR is being heavily inflated by his DH appearances because he doesn't have to play defense. The guy who created ZiPS thinks he is probably going to have to become a full-time DH soon because his defense is that bad already. Vlad only has 0.1 fWAR in 452 PA at 1B this year, and 0.3 fWAR in 126 PA at DH. Ever since his early season wrist injury, he has -0.5 fWAR in 430 PA since returning from that injury on May 9th. The guy is a straight up below-replacement level bum now.
  6. Vlad Sr's obese son is a f***ing fatass bum. I am praying on his downfall, only silver lining from last night's loss is that this f***er's hilariously bad game helps his fWAR continue to get closer to 0.
  7. I hate seeing Vlad's stupid f***ing face.
  8. Vlad Sr's obese son can f*** right off.
  9. Danner 60-day IL is the corresponding move to make room for Green on the 40-man.
  10. I find this hard to believe.
  11. Random tidbit about McCoy to put his defensive ability into context even though it's not what the team needs right now: his pre-season ZiPS projections had him at 1.4 fWAR in 510 PA just off his defense+baserunning alone (projected wRC+ was 74).
  12. Biggio is s*** defensively in the outfield, really it should only be 1B/2B, and even at 2B his defense has been heavily declining. Also Horwitz is only a 1B/DH at the major league level. If could play any of the other positions you think he can play he would have been called up by now with how well he's been hitting. Posters debating Biggio vs Espinal are debating garbage vs trash.
  13. Because Vlad also sucks sweaty balls.
  14. Agreed on Barger, this next stretch against bad teams has a lot of games vs LHP starters and after that Bo and Chapman should hopefully both be off the IL. Orelvis could have gotten a nice look playing almost everyday during this stretch against bad teams with a lot of lefty starters though, but now it's already too late basically. We've already faced 2 of the lefties scheduled to face us. Lantigua should be on this roster today instead of McCoy. Once Bo and Chapman are back, maybe finally Espinal gets banished to Buffalo and Clement stays up.
  15. Holy s*** the straight up disrespect from JS towards Babe. Challenge that s***, he looked safe!
  16. I'd like optimal lineups to be used everyday at this stage of the playoff race, yes. It isn't about Lantigua and Orelvis specifically.
  17. Thank god Atkins called up McTrash instead of Lantigua or Orelvis. Now we get the pleasure of seeing Cavan Biggio's 30 wRC+ vs LHP in RF because it's a rest day for Jansen! Yay! This is what the lineup could and should have been today: DH Springer LF Schneider 1B Vlad RF Whit 3B Orelvis C Kirk 2B/SS Clement SS/2B Lantigua CF Varsho Instead we have useless McGarbage on the bench and Espishit is still here. Still have 3-4 out of the next 6 games against LHP starters after this too! Even the defensive alignment for this game is off, as I continue to be mystified by the consistent usage of Biggio as the backup RF on Springer DH days. Whit is very capable in both corner outfield spots and Schneider could have played LF, shifting Biggio to 2B. Also why is Varsho batting 6th instead of 7th against a LHP starter? You don't need that much separation between Varsho and Biggio in the batting order.
  18. It was very reckless and Biggio got saved by ball 4 there.
  19. I had the Biggio dumbass decision to try and steal 3rd on a 3-0 count also in my head as I was typing out the Kirk s***. Mixed up those 2 plays in my head, corrected though.
  20. You said the same s*** when the Jays kept delaying Schneider/Clement callups to keep zeros like Espigarbage on the roster.
  21. I hate that fat f*** Kirk. When he got called out I actually laughed watching his dumb fat ass got caught again because he just never learns, instead of not enjoying it because it's against my team. Stay at f***ing 3rd fatty.
  22. Yeah his -1 fWAR in 2 weeks was so f***ing nice. I really noticed his defense while he was out there being the position player version of Brad Hand! Take Atkins' cock out of your mouth for once.
