  1. Merrifield said - I'm paraphrasing - they're going to try and screw him in FA because of his age but he says he feels 10 years younger and his stats back that up
  2. They keep forcing things with Varsho, give it up already
  3. I haven't looked at the schedule but why bring in Ryu now to a rotation that's pretty much hitting on all cylinders.
  4. Find a stream but yea sucks
  5. He's pretty good though, did it for years in KC
  6. The Dodgers are so deep on the mound they can afford to let Nastrini go, just young.
  7. This team always slow to react in making changes, most of us wanted this weeks ago. Right move
  8. go get pham
  9. for sure, nothing like an experienced high leverage reliever. I tend not to look at the latest stats and was just saying he's lost a bit from the flame thrower he once was - good to know about his fwar
  10. it's David Robertson 2023 version - this is not the elite throwing reliever he once was
  11. Anthony Kay is on the mound right now for the Cubs
  12. today is so quiet, maybe the calm before the storm.
  13. yea that has to come from the player, just saying the org has a stupid amount of resources to assist - no excuses. Hopefully, he has it in him; Vlady did.
  14. Of course, I've mentioned his conditioning in my posts, Jays have all the resources in the world - they probably left well enough alone thinking he would continue where he left off last season - clearly not the case. If he comes into camp next season looking like he does now and underperforms again then we have a problem. Also, no guarantees we sign Jansen in 2025 - he's going to the highest bidder -as he should.
  15. He only hits 3/4 times a game, the rest of the time he spends being a really good receiver. You completely ignored that. He's 24, go look at Jansen at 24
  16. and not to mention the value - for years to come - of a deep postseason run
  17. Yea it would be great for baseball I just doubt they have enough to make a run, Gio barely moves the needle
  18. I think Kirk's bat is for real minus the power add in his receiving skills, he just needs to get that body in shape because it's unacceptable - team has all the resources ffs
  19. Yep. I guess they can afford to let Quero go since O’Hoppe is probably the future for them, still.
