I would say based on his secondary lead he was fine - not great. He's not a good ball player. Above average base runner with below average speed. Poor instincts (no metric for this unfortunately). regarding Black's post - IKF doesn't have Varsho's spray chart

If it was a shoulder issue (I jjsut don't remember) then I'd be cautious as well and the decline is an issue but I'm not sure you can survive as a starter anymore with a FB in the low 90's - eg. Bieber. So it's why I brought up King

Michael King declined his mutual option, I'd rather go for King than extend Bieber, signing King would cost us a compensatory pick after the fourth-round in the 2026 draft assuming the Padres qualify him. I wonder if Bieber picks up the option?
