The right characterization would be he is pretty s***** offensively for 1B. Considering his DP rate, baserunning, and production at the plate, he is definitely a s***** 1B even offensively.

I wanted no extension at all. I was saying the time to trade him was the last off season. Coming off a down but OKish season after his monster season, he still had tons of trade value.

Please trade Fatty Guerrero this off season. I would rather go with Horwitz next year and invest the 20+ M Vladdy would get in something above replacement level.

Agreed. The Blue Jays really don't need to chase players and watch their diets. Just hold them accountable. -

I do not know why everyone thinks this is a complicated thing. The org has all the power and can hold players accountable. You're a prospect who showed up fat and it is impacting your performance? You can stay in single A or the training complex until you lose the weight and maintain that for a couple of a months. You're a major league player who has options? You can go work on your fitness in the minors. You're a major league player who has no options? You can warm the bench for most games until you get fit. -
