  1. I personally think it's ridiculous that a ban was given out over this. But I'm not one of the OGs, so my opinion is irrelevant.
  2. I'm sure there was at least 500k+ that they had alloted for other players that can be used towards that? I mean they aren't giving all of the $$$ available to sign him, right?
  3. What would a deal for Lopez look like?
  4. Yeah, I wasn't sure how to read it. I see him so high on Dynasty lists and don't know why he's ranked to the level he is, with some of those red flags. A lot of players have a great first 50 games starting out and then not live up to the same level (Brett Lawrie). So was wondering if the high ranking is based on the underlying stats or some other reason.
  5. How relevant is max exit velocity in evaluating a player over a 41 game sample? Grissom was in the bottom 29 percent in max exit velocity. Does his other abilities overshadow this...or is it too small of a sample to be concerned. His sprint speed isn't even overly high. Just not sure what weight should be placed on that at this point.
  6. Thanks. Yeah, I'm in win-now mode, but currently my number 5, 6, 7 SP are Dustin May, Peralta, and Grayson Rodriguez to start the year. So there's risk there, as well, G. Rod might not start immediately. My hitting side is much stronger.
  7. I didn't even think of Senga being available in the draft. I decided to go with Painter and Grissom as the first 2 picks. Would Senga replace any of those guys in your mind?
  8. He was a 1.1 win player last year, projects for the same next year, with a mid-4s FIP. But above all that, have you seen his Savant page? Again, eww!
  9. Holy s***, what a disappointing offseason this will be.
  10. Seriously though. As a GM why would you trade Teoscar for a reliever and a prospect, when you could trade Jansen for one of the best young relievers in the game? Helsley is more valuable than Swanson and Macko. Jansen would be trading from a strong point. Holding onto Teoscar, getting Helsley, having Moreno and Kirk man C, then signing KK for CF would be a MUCH stronger move. The front office aren't as dumb as we think. They knew that move wasn't going to happen.
  11. There's no way in hell they would've traded Helsley for Jansen. If so, the Jays would've made that deal immediately. But it simply didn't happen that way. This is another case of misrepresentation of the facts. Don't trust everything you read.
  12. I hate this signing. Not a fan of Kiermaier at this age. I was OK with the Teoscar trade because I thought they'd get a much better offensive OF than this turd. Now I hate the deal. Would much rather Teoscar and get a RP in free agency.
  13. Oh, I would love those trades. I think I view the players on the other side higher. That's why I'm skeptical. But who knows.
  14. What do you feel is a very fair trade with these teams? Not wishful thinking, but a completely fair trade.
  15. Oh, I'd much rather Frelick, but I'm sceptical of that. From what I read the Brewers are high on him.
  16. We have 2 years of Jansen left. There's not many centerfielders available. Grisham had 2.2, 2.2, 2.1 WAR the last 3 seasons. Plus, thats why the inclusion of Kim, who again had a 3.7 WAR season. If we keep Jansen and sign KK then I really think the team will be worse off this coming season.
  17. Yeah, there's only so many possibilities here. Jansen isn't going to get a pitcher like Pablo Lopez or any other starter like that. It would have to be one of the young catchers. I'd much rather have a team of Kirk, Kim, Grisham, and Rodon than a team of Jansen, Espinal, Kiermaier, and Lopez. If the D-backs would give up a young OF than that would change things, but I just can't see that happen.
  18. Grisham is projected to have 106 wRC+. And is a good centerfielder from what I've read. I'd much rather him than throw money at Kiermaier. Kim has much higher upside than Espinal and can slide him into 2nd base. I really think Jansen is being overvalued here I'm terms of what he'll get back in return.
  19. I find it funny when people always refer to WAR until it no longer suits their argument. Grisham is projecting for higher WAR than Teoscar. Jansen has had one season higher than 2. Kim just had a 3.7 WAR season. Espinal is not that valuable to me. If they can add those players and get Rodon, I'd much rather that scenario. That said it would be contingent on getting Rodon. I'm actually a Jansen fanboy, but don't think he's going to get close to what some people think with 2 years left.
  20. People have been arguing for a Jansen Grisham swap. Kim had close to 4 WAR last year.
  21. Jansen + Espinal for Grisham + Kim. Save the money that was going to be allotted to Nimmo and get Rodon.
  22. He 100% deserves to be in the hall and whoever disagrees can f*** off!
  23. Such ********! Everyone has demons. EVERYONE. His opinions are open to a lot of people. And I don't necessarily agree with him, but I'm sure many in the hall have similiar opinions. So unless you want an interview with all potential hall of famers to get their view on these topics, then everyone should shut the f*** up. He was one of the best pitchers in the game and should be recognized as such. If not, the hall of fame is a joke!
