  1. Thanks, that's where I'm leaning too.
  2. I also got Soto for Rodon, Taylor Ward (when he was hot), Kelenic, and a 2nd round pick. I actually feel bad about that trade. Never thought he'd actually accept it at the time.
  3. 12. But I'm by far the most active. I've grabbed basically ever top breakout player and used them to upgrade. Like I grabbed McClanahan, Michael Harris II, Pasquautino, Lodolo, Gunnar Henderson, Moreno, etc and used them in trades. Some of the teams didn't even use the waiver wire at all. It's such a frustrating league. I've only traded with about 4 teams because no one else is active. I also got very lucky in buying low on players. Bregman was coming off a 120wrc season 2 years prior, and a 122wrc season the year before. When I traded for him he was hitting .202 with a wRC of 102 and 6 homers in mid-June. I also got Bieber when he was pitching to a 4.50 era for the month of the trade. But I gave up Gunnar Henderson, Lodolo, Moreno+ to get him. So I've lost in trades as well. Lol.
  4. My 18 right now are: Kirk, Guerrero, Albies, Bregman, Franco, Witt Jr., Soto, Alvarez, Carroll, Vaughan. Burnes, Woodruff, Nola, Bieber, Peralta, Grayson, May, Eury Perez. I also have Torkelson, Baz, Springs, and Tovar that I have to drop. I also have the #1 pick crazy enough and I was always looking to pick a Painter. But now that the league changed the rules (I was going to keep Baz and Tork under the old rules) I was curious of which 2 of should keep of Kirk, Baz, and Painter. My league is incredibly frustrating. I offered Baz, Torkelson, Springs, and Tovar all for another player or picks and no one bit. So I'm going to lose these players outright.
  5. Thanks. Makes sense. That's who I was thinking too.
  6. No, there really isn't. They are the lowest ranked of the players I have. The league was initially 20 players to keep but reduced it to 18. So it's messing with my team. I even have Torkelson who I still like that I have to cut. Sucks.
  7. Hey, one last question. I have to keep 2 of Alejandro Kirk, Baz, and Painter. It doesn't matter that Baz is out for a year. I have enough depth to complete this year. But looking at the overall value of each player long-term.
  8. Thanks. Yeah, sometimes I put too much value in player rankings. Story is still ranked very high on lists, but I don't think they're looking enough at the underlying metrics.
  9. Thanks. Is Trevor Story cooked? I checked out his Savant page and a lot of blue and not much red. He was dropped in my dynasty league. I was going to take Painter with my pick but wondered about Story. Stick with Painter?
  10. Who would you pick in a points league? Luis Robert or Gunnar Henderson?
  11. His Savant page is lit up in red for last year.
  12. Yeah, from what I read Betts loved playing second so I wasn't sure if they still considered it. But it doesn't make sense with the roster they have.
  13. Thanks. That was what I was thinking.
  14. There was talk of Betts playing more 2nd base in 2023. But I'm thinking that was if the Dodgers were able to get Judge? Is there any chance he gets 2nd base eligibility or is he strictly an OF at this point?
  15. Thanks. So would Brown's upside be a #2/3 and Senga's #3/4? Or is Brown more valuable due to the age?
  16. Who would you take in Dynasty? Senga or Hunter Brown?
  17. Kikuchi offered to be sent down to remain as a starter last year. So I'm guessing he would be OK with it.
  18. Varsho was a top 30 position player in regards to fWar as a 26 year old...and brings flexibility. If you have to overpay, he's the type of player to overpay for. I don't think there will be much of a difference in value between the 2, if they live up to their ceilings. I was disappointed in the move, but I get it. They are trying to win this year and Varsho checks off so many boxes that they were looking for. They traded from a strength. And his versatility adds extra value that can't be measured.
  19. Fair enough. I get it would be frustrating. I'd be annoyed with those posts myself. And I probably posted similar messages about my team (not to that level), just because I was proud of the team I built. I was happy about it, not trying to showboat. But from what I remember (and not calling out anyone in particular), but he was bullied pretty hard over it. Although maybe I misremember it. And again, not calling out anyone in any way. But I personally think TL provided way more valuable info and didn't do enough to warrant a ban. But that's just me.
  20. Haha. Yeah, my apologies on that. I post most frequently when my health takes a turn for the worse and I'm trying to distract myself. And fantasy baseball is one of my best distractions.
  21. Haha. I thought so. That's why I gave a half-assed sarcastic response.
  22. Is this for me? For just giving a small, unimportant opinion on something?
  23. I'm not saying that I haven't had a pleasant time here. But I've seen other newcomers push the boundaries (to the level of original posters) and have been banned pretty quick over it. Not attacking anyone in particular. And not saying a lot of people don't have a great time. But I personally feel TL got the short end of the stick over this. I saw him getting bullied over posting his dynasty team lineup; despite all the positive posts he made. It didn't sit well with me at the time. Again, not a personal attack on anyone. I've had a great experience myself here.
  24. Just want to post this as a relative newcomer. This site has so much potential, but there IS a vibe that if you're not an original, you're on shaky ground. Constantly. From the limited amount of time I've been on here, I respected TL's opinions and loved most of his posts. There may be way more to it than I realize, but from what I remember of the situation, people turned on him for bragging about his dynasty team. That seemed to be the major issue. He got bullied for bragging about it as often as he did. People were saying they have him on mute and there was a thread he wasn't even aware of (from what I remember), sort of tearing him down over it. As an outside observer, that's not enough to turn on someone. He was happy about a friggin fantasy team and wanted to brag about it. Lot's of people would. You would WANT that in someone on a baseball forum. I see WAY more egregious banter from the OGs that's played off as nothing. But if a new poster did it, they would be banned. I really think a calibration is needed to make more people feel welcomed, and not tear them down over smaller issues. This site has huge potential but it can't be limited to a select few who feel comfortable here. Hell, I'm pretty sure I'll be banned over this, even though I didn't attack anyone in particular. Just gave an outside perspective of it. TL should never have been banned, IMO. Just my take on it.
