  1. Thanks again for the responses. I was able to get Rodon for a 3rd round pick. So basically giving up my 23rd best player. One more quick question, would you take Moreno or Ruiz for C? Ruiz is actually projecting very well for C, but I'm so high on Moreno. The players I can't protect in the league right now are: Pearson, Lux, Adell, Ruiz, Patino, Sean Murphy, Suarez, Brandon Marsh, and Duran. I'd like to keep a few of these players in the draft. I'm going to try and get a few high picks for a couple of them to do that. Who would you try and keep of those players and which are the most likely to get a top pick?
  2. Hey, how much is it to join the league? What is team would I be buying into?
  3. I had Logan Webb to start the year and then dropped him early in the season. I regretted it soon after. I tried to trade Stripling (when he was playing well) and a Duran when Webb was injured and the guy didn't bite. And I would understand that if he really valued Webb, but he dropped him on the waiver wire a week later and someone grabbed before me. Webb would be on my protected list over Pearson for sure.
  4. Awesome. Thanks.
  5. Yeah, I'm real. I only used to play redraft leagues and did really well in those. This is the first Dynasty league I've been in and first league with trading. So I should be called DynastyFantasyNewb. Lol. It has been a big learning curve for me when it comes to trades and value of certain players who are underperforming or injured but have upside. You guys have helped a lot. My current roster that will be protected in the 12 team league is: C: Moreno 1st: Vlad 2nd: Albies SS: Franco 3rd: Moncada OF: Alvarez OF: Kelenic OF: Carlson UI: Torkelson U: Abrams/Noelvi Marte P: Bieber P: Woodruff P: Peralta P: McCullers P: Eduardo Rodriguez P: Baz P: May, Grayson, Pearson Just need to find so temporary guys to get me through before some of the rookies get called up. So Rodon is very tempting to add, although I still like Pearson a lot.
  6. I'd definitely be interested. What are the details?
  7. Hey, he hasn't specified yet, but the way he's talking, he'll probably want a 1st and 2nd round. However, that's after 20 players on each team are protected. So basically 21st and 22nd round. And I'm fine with that. But I'll also lose Pearson doing this trade. So I'm wondering if losing Pearson and some picks are worth it, based on Rodon's late season shoulder issues?
  8. Is Rodon worth giving up multiple picks and Pearson? Or is the injury risk too high, especially considering he didn't get a qualifying offer? After the season he had I'm guessing his medicals aren't good at all?
  9. Ray had 3.9 WAR this year and Rodriguez had 3.8 WAR.... And had a similar year in 2019. He's only 28. It's not a crazy option. Some of you guys seem to rely on WAR until it didn't suit the narrative.
  10. There's no way that was Dogg. I was a lurker on the old board and actually enjoyed Dogg's antics. He was an obvious troll but didn't push the boundary like this guy did. I also miss Todd's perspective on the top 100 Bluejay prospects in the system. He should be applauded for placing Alford in the 40 range when he was considered a top prospect. He had a skill in ranking the prospects, much like Keith Law.
  11. I'd take Rogers without question. All are great pitchers, but he's only 23 and he's projecting as well or better than Lopez and Montas (who I both really like). And Rogers issues are based on his parents getting COVID and both his grandfather's passing away. That shouldn't impact his performance going forward.
  12. Moreno started at 3rd today.
  13. Yeah, I'm only messing. I thought it was a genius line as well.
  14. That's racist.
  15. How the hell are you not a current MLB GM? This is a blueprint on how to win the WS! Several very savvy moves.... especially trading Mayza for Acuna! Gotta sell high on Mayza whilst Acuna is on the DL.
  16. For sure, I was never a fan until I started watching some of those videos and saw that he was dedicated to grow the game. I even liked things like the sword taunting he did, especially since he was in full support of taunting back. I'm not old school in that I love things like the Bautista bat flip and seeing different personalities on full display.
  17. I have to say, as much as Bauer has buried himself, especially in this climate where you're guilty and have to prove innocence, he was one of the best at promoting the game. I found a lot of his trolling as entertaining (although some cringe mixed in) and his videos were interesting. I just watched his breakdown of Bieber and loved the analysis.
  18. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/10/qualifying-offer-value-set-at-18-4mm.html
  19. Sorry, I meant to quote Spanky when he wasn't sure and asked if it went up.
  20. QO has been determined at 18.4M for the upcoming season.
  21. I don't try to get too political, but saying that "s***, w****, and sexual d*****, is similar to the n-word, is wrong on so many ways. First, the n-word is a term that is used to denigrate an entire race. Those terms you refer to is in reference to a behavior. It's nowhere near as offensive as putting down an entire race. Men can be sluts, whores, and sexual deviants. And if that's possible, the behaviour can happen in the female population. Saying that certain females are the s****, like men can be, is an honest opinion, based on facts. Now if the poster attached a percentage to the argument, as in 35% of the population are s****, then you can push back.
  22. Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Bieber side, especially due to his age. This site has been great for bouncing ideas off you. Thanks.
  23. Who would win in a Zack Wheeler and Pablo Lopez for Shane Bieber trade?
  24. Oh, yeah. I must've read the PR spin after he was hired.
  25. What's especially disappointing in Montoyo was that he was a much hyped candidate. He was well regarded around the league as a potential analytical manager who would have a great relationship with the players. Coming over from the Rays organization, there was hope that he picked up some valuable information along the way. But it just never translated.
