    Is Chappy really worth a huge contract just for the defense? We have in house options likely to hit as good as Chappy. Orelvis could likely put up Chapman #'s (.220, 20 HR) for league min as a rookie. There would be a defensive drop off obviously, but the $25 mill per year saved by not signing Chappy could help us elsewhere.

    Forget Bellinger. Trade for Yelich, who is owed 5 x 26 mill. Milwaukee would probably eat 30 mill, bringing him down to 5 years 100 million. We toss them a C prospect. Or we get them to attach Burnes and we assume the entire contract. His career low OPS is .736, so he has a much higher floor than Bellinger. No crazy 10 year committment.
