  1. Its because we got a taste of the 90% odds when we were up 6-1 thats causing all the commotion. You tell me we're up 2-1 before the series started, we all sign up for it 100% of the time.
  2. Haha isnt that how armchair GMing works on a message board? We cheer for the funs parts and then whine about areas where you felt the team should have done what you thought?
  3. My suggestions for Game 4: Use Gausman for 3/4 innings, Lauer for 2 innings (away from Judge) and then go based on matchups after that. Game 5 (if needed) Yesavage + Bieber for 1/2 innings (if needed)
  4. But he should be added to the roster today just in case we might need those innings if it goes to extras or we run out of arms.
  5. Beating the Yankees to advance to the ALCS means more than beating Texas. That was the exact moment i thought about looking to beat though :)
  6. I struggled going to sleep because I was thinking about how we blew the game most of the night/morning. I havent cared to this extent about any team in years. Its probably because we were so close to the greatest Jays team moment since 1993. Beating the Yankees in Yankee stadium would be exactly that.
  7. You are taking a comment from December 9th when majority of the fanbase wanted major upgrades to the roster after a pathetic showing in 2024. Hell no did I expect the season to unfold how it has with so many players performing above their expected output. The 95% comment is based on where we are today and how we are deploying our players during games. If only only complaining about IKF playing, Springer DH and not Santandar then that means im happy with everything else im currently not complaining about.
  8. No, I dont just blindly hate on everything in a hindsight fashion. The things I truly get upset about are things I felt could have been averted beforehand and majority of the time I tell you my true feelings beforehand. I said Schneider at 2B and Lukes/Straw in LF many times because we were going against a lefty. Anyways, both Barger/Schneider know they should have handled that better. Just sucks for everyone on our side.
  9. I think Bieber in every start has looked bad in 1 inning and has been really good otherwise. IKF screwed him in the 1st inning so his real bad inning came in the 3rd. We'll never know if he would have gone onto locking back in since Schneider trusted his bullpen over that yesterday.
  10. If you see complaints about a few things then that means you are good with the things not being complained about. Not everyone likes to write essays about every single decision the team makes like theyre paid from them lol.
  11. If I had the choice between Barger/IKK then yes, I would take Barger. However, I clearly mentioned several times yesterday before the game even started that we should be using Straw or even Lukes in LF. We already had Santandar out there and that just makes the OF too weak with Schneider out there too. IKF doesnt belong on this roster, let alone starting back to back playoff games.
  12. Barger vehemently called for the ball but a good OFer know that you always call the IF off when you can easily get to that ball. Thats exactly the position Schneider was in, he had a chance to help his teammate out by making the easier play and he failed in that regard. You can see Barger ask him after the play "could you have gotten that" and Schneider nods saying "yes"
  13. I dont want anything but for my team to use some sense when making decisions. It wasn't just me, majority of people were baffled with the decision ahead of the game and it directly led to miscues that help cost us the game. Again, most of us agree on 95% of the things this team does. We are usually bickering about the 5% we differ on and thats fine, that's what a message board is for. You and a few others are shocked when people see things differently as a front office can never do anything wrong while we're shocked that there are people who can't see those things.
  14. So this management saw Varland perform well as an opener one time and thought it was a good idea to trust him in that role for Game 4 of the ALDS. How did we go from a 6 man rotation with too many good starters to this cluster f***. Maybe we try batting IKF cleanup because he does well on wednesday night games at Yankee stadium when the temperature is above 10 degrees. God forbid we use common sense on some decisions. *im still bitter about yesterday
  15. I have been mentioning this from when the rosters were announced. Not having Bassitt/Scherzer over Bruhil/Nance is very idiotic. Bassitt/Scherzer give you legit long man options in the worst case but also help save your bullpen too. Maybe if we go to Bassitt yesterday, he has his A stuff. Worst case, he looks exactly like how 75% of the bullpen has.
  16. Im so f***ing down. This hurt so much knowing how this could have been known as the Vladdy game/series. He came out like a f***ing boss tonight man.
  17. And hopefully our management/coaching staff dont decide to bat IKF leadoff tomorrow because of something he did in 2021 in yankee stadium at 7 pm on a random wednesday.
  18. Im so glad we dont have a day off and get right back at it tomorrow. That was the most depressing loss for me since 2015 against KC.
  19. Hes always in a rush to defend every decision made by the Jays that he loses the whole point lol.
  20. Yup... management/coaching staff get blame for starting IKF but its ultimately the players who choked. You have a 6-1 lead against a completely demoralized team and we gave them extra life in multiple innings. The players literally brought the Yankees back to life.
  21. To the point even Buck Martinez went to Straw in person today and said to him "are you surprised youre not starting today because I am" All this so we could start the worst player on our roster.
  22. Rather look like a lunatic on this board than in my WhatsApp groups where I have to see those people frequently. If they only knew how I took my stress out on this board haha
  23. At least Santandar is understandable because you made a big investment and he has a great track record. IKF was waived by the damn pirates because no one wanted him at the deadline. He has 0 reason to be touching the field
  24. Glad Schneider remembered to play one of his best players down the stretch in Lukes in the bottom of the 8th...
  25. Theyre the ones who choked this game away like a little league team. Frustration on how this went down is very valid.
