    I know youre smart enough to know Lauer's role has been shrunk down to a short outings now. He isnt stretched out anymore and has proven he can be used in high leverage situations. Let Scherzer take the mop up role since Nance is last on the depth charts with Bruhil anyways.

    He was very much in the running and even if you want to say he wasn't, he was definitely being thought of as a Game 2 starter. You kinda missed the point of the overall comment lol.

    Literally everything is recency bias. Scherzer went from a potential Game 1 starter in August to not even being on the roster. Let's face it, one guy has a track record while the other does not.

    Worst case, you have him in the Nance role where you use him in emergency situations. Having Bassitt/Scherzer is a lot more beneficial than Nance/Bruhil and its not even a question. Let's say there's a massive blow out either way, just use Scherzer to mop up to save all your high leverage arms. Just too many positives to not have him on the roster even in the worst case.

    Ya I experienced all that in real time. I was able to secure standing tickets for Game 2 of the ALDS so im happy to have already gone. This is all gravy to me now.

    Santandar had some good ABs but we're in a results matter only part of the season. His name still holds importance so at worst, he will be a pinch hitter off the bench if Bo is ready to DH. You just hope that with every passing game, Santandar works off the rust to return to who he has been.

    Its not even a debate, Detroit will only have Skubal for Game 3 and 7. They are BY FAR the less scarier team. Seattle is frigging good.
