  1. Its like that in basketball too. It's pretty sad that they can't find a single source within their own company/team lol.
  2. All other ways suck though lol
  3. My guess is that he'll be a Met or Angel by the end of the week. My odds based on 0 knowledge is 70% Mets, 29% Angels, 1% Jays lol.
  4. So you're saying we're getting Bauer or Bryant/Hendricks? There is no other way to read that tweet lol
  5. Analytics. Pretty sure they've already mapped out how many innings he will pitch the entire season.
  6. Ya we already have Grichuk/Tellez platooning, we don't have a need for a full like DH. And going for a 3B at this stage would leave no position for Biggio. That would only happen if one of Gurriel/Biggio/Teo are part of a Bryant/Hendricks package, which is unlikely at this stage. Our offense is set. Let's get a friggin starter.
  7. That's if Tampa let's him throw that many innings lol
  8. Agreed I'm beating a dead horse so I'll stop until the games begin.
  9. Dammit... 2nd base confirmed lol
  10. https://www.theringer.com/platform/amp/mlb/2021/1/28/22253465/toronto-blue-jays-george-springer-marcus-semien-vlad-guerrero-jr Ringer article about the Jays.
  11. I'm extremely high on Merryweather after seeing his stuff last season. If the man can stay healthy, he will be a HUGE part of the bullpen.
  12. It is purely on the assumption that he has taken the offseason seriously with the weight loss so we project that he will be the elite talent he was touted to be.
  13. This is what people wanted to happen for AA after 2015 lol.
  14. That's pretty much it. If things stay as is, we are going to platoon Grichuk/Tellez. It's an awesome luxury that we haven't had in a long time with players of this calibre (assuming 2020 Tellez was real). And to be real, there are always injuries so these guys will probably be playing full time for different parts of the season.
  15. Yaa... they said they were going to ask him whether he prefers 2B or 3B. If he could play 3B that would improve our team defense by a lot imo. Maybe this is a wrong assumption but I feel an average to above average SS would be above average to elite at every other infield position.
  16. Ya thats where I was going because we don't have an endless budget. I think almost everyone wants a SP to go with Ryu. After that its debatable and for me it would be a 3rd Baseman or another reliever.
  17. Ya if we are able to pass players through a DH position, that is the best case scenario. Having a dedicated DH sucks unless the player is a game changer.
  18. Such a humanitarian you are lol
  19. It's not just about the players getting more spotlight in the playoffs, the fans in most markets have a reason to give a s*** for longer parts of the season. Expanded playoffs let's 80% of teams and fans think they have a chance. Usually, 50% of fans know they have 0 chance at the playoffs with like a 100 games left. If you want the casuals then you need to give them a reason to stay tuned...
  20. So wait... does that mean there are no expanded playoffs this year?
  21. I'm surprised we haven't benefited from teams trying to offload salary like how we got Lirano + Reese + someone else who i can't remember.
  22. Not condoning this at all but I think it's come to the point where Men need to stop hoping for one night flings. It will just get you in trouble lol.
  23. If the NL gets the DH, i think there's a starting spot for him somewhere. His 2019 numbers were pretty damn good. Think we can light most 2020 numbers on fire.
  24. Wish there was a spot for him here but Tellez seems to have his role already and also provides us a left handed bat. BTW... it's crazy that Edwin can reach 500 HRs considering the wasted years to begin his career. I don't see it happening in 2 years at all though.
  25. And this is assuming that those guys don't sign extensions by then. Hoping for future free agencies should never be the way to go. Ask the Raptors and how their 2021 plans went with Giannis and others...
