Theyre calling it Tim and Friends for now but I can't see Tim surviving alone unless they get the right cohost for him.
  2. Jays24
They've been slowly consolidating radio and TV for a while. Reminds me of when Tim and Sid did that. So sad that today is their last show:(
  3. Jays24
Very good point. Makes too much sense to not do that from almost every standpoint except how far Florida is from Toronto so calling people up from AAA would become harder.
  4. Jays24
That looks friggin amazing. Wish our weather didn't suck so that could have been built here. Kind of ridiculous for the amount of money spent on a facility that far away from your home but good for them lol.
  5. Jays24
Cant wait... it's a must win.
  6. Jays24
Surprised the following huge news hasn't been talked about here already lol. Mets sign C Caleb Joseph to minor-league contract. Giants sign RP Shun Yamaguchi to minor-league contract
  7. Jays24
World Series confirmed. Seriously though, looks like he hasn't been useful since 2015.

    32. Ryan Noda, 1B (’20 rank #25) Age: 24 Highest Level: A+ Noda was a promising power hitter in the low minors early in his career but his numbers continued to decline in 2019. Left off the alternate site roster he may be reaching his peak in this organization. There is still hope though that he will figure it out this season with AA New Hampshire.
  9. Jays24
    And who is Noda? Lol
  10. Jays24
Nope lol. Just don't get the logic if we sign a starter now then that means we can't get a better one, if one becomes available at the deadline. Teams will always need starting pitching so it's not like we can't trade any of our current starters to another team in the worst case scenario.
  11. Jays24
A lot of "ifs" with our starting rotation. Odorizzi would be the 2nd/3rd best pitcher on the staff so he'd definitely make a difference in a playoff setting, assuming we get there.
  12. Jays24
But that will probably cost you a lot more from your prospect capital when you only need to use money for Odorizzi.
  13. Jays24
But how many teams does the luxury tax even apply to? Whole system is a joke when you compare the wide range of total salary from the Dodgers to the Rays/Marlins.
  14. Jays24
I doubt Odorizzi makes less than Walker. He probably gets the 3 year deal he's looking for or at a minimum a big 2 year deal. I have 0 faith at this stage we are going to another big signing. As much as I'd like him, it was a still a great offseason.

I am trying to understand how this contract would differ if the Padres had gone through the normal process of waiting when he was much closer to free agency? Only thing I can think of is that they won't have to pay him for his potential washed up years. But is that risk worth giving someone this deal after not even playing a full MLB season? A lot of things can happen before he was supposed to hit free agency like a major injury or him just not being as great.
  16. Jays24
I've seen enough... welcome to the big league squad lol.
  17. Jays24
Hopefully slightly better than Springer and Brantley lol
  18. Jays24
Not saying that but I wasn't sure how guilty he really was since I don't remember much coming out. If we went by your logic, you'd probably want to fire Masai right when the police officer filed his ******** lawsuit. Luckily we got video of that incident to see how ******** the original claims were. If there was no video or Masai was a broke black dude then imagine how this would have went... Not saying that is the exact case here with Osuna but I always like to be impartial until actual details are presented to me. The fact Osuna took his suspension without counter suing the MLB tells you there was something wrong done by him. Now whether he was Ray Rice or it was a much less stupid incident is very much up in the air.
  19. Jays24
Memory isn't the best but wasn't Osuna'a case dropped?
  20. Jays24
Don't be speaking ill of the runner up for the AL Manager of the Year lol
  21. Jays24
Loll I thought the majority could give 2 shits if the Dunedin facilities has hot tubs but to each their own.
  22. Jays24
Agreed. Guys 28 or so and still trying to be something his body's telling him he can't be. Hope he proves us wrong but seems like the perfect bullpen candidate.
  23. Jays24
Nvm... thought the 3rd year was a team option lol
  24. Jays24
I meant the mainstream media talks like I'll get to use the facility or something. Good for them that they have the relevant stuff to help their players be their best lol.
  25. Jays24
It's only a one year deal. If you really liked him then you go get him. Our overall payroll is still peanuts relatively.
