    My point wasn't that he has been the 2nd best player up to this point but that he would be the 2nd best player going forward. Bo, Gurriel and Vlad are all ahead for me. I think it's really close between him and Teo or even Kirk going forward too. Still love Biggio so don't get me wrong but just not as much as people here.

    Vlad should be nowhere 3rd man. Nothing has shown he has a chance to be even average there. We should be worried if he can even play 1B at a major league level.

    Not gonna lie... im not high on Biggio as most of the people here. Feels like people here have him rated as the 2nd best young player after Bo. He can play all over the field at an average to below average rate. 2B is the only spot he has a chance to be above average imo. Love the IQ though.

    Hope the other trade doesn't fall through causing Brantley to not get signed. This would be a semi PR disaster after the great Springer news.

    Very expensive to have Grichuk as a bench player. Remember that Biggio can play OF too. It also doesn't make sense to trade him while eating his salary. For that reason, I see Teo or Gurriel being traded for SP help.

    I would love for us to have that luxury but the guy makes 10M per for 3 more years. That's just too much for a 4th OFer, especially when we can use that money in other areas. But I won't complain if we do keep him as the 4th OF.

    Ya I'd hate to lose Teo/Gurriel just because we signed Grichuk to a bad contract. He just seems too expensive to be a 4th OFer but if we can suck it up, it would make for a great platoon situation and injury insurance.

    So as things stand now, the Jays have Springer at CF and then 3 corner OF's. Obviously Grichuk is the worst of the bunch but we might be stuck with him because of his contract. The way I see it shaping out is we either trade Gurriel/Teo for a SP or platoon Tellez/Grichuk. Against Lefties - Grichuk plays RF and Teo DHs Against Righties - Tellez DH/1B and Teo RF What option do you prefer?

    That's exactly what I was going to say. I don't want Wong. Leave Biggio at 2B and use that money elsewhere.

    Same... I'd rather gamble and hope he becomes the next Jose Bautista than trade him for an unknown commodity.

    Even with Springer only, I think we might trade one of Teo/Gurriel. Grichuk is too expensive for a 4th OFer. We already have Tellez and Vlad that will be rotating at 1B/DH. Would love to keep them all and basically platoon Tellez and Grichuk. Let Teo DH when Grichuk plays.
