  1. Of course. I was agreeing about giving Pearson more reps at the MLB level and not sending him down. I was citing us doing a similar thing with Bo and Biggio to help overcome their defensivd struggles by not moving them from the positions. That's all...
  2. Sounds about right. There is a limit on how bad he can be though but if we can try to work through Bo and Biggio s***ing the bed defensively, I'm sure there will be some leeway for Pearson.
  3. Ya lol. There's a reason why not every top prospect from the minors becomes elite at the big league level. It's a whole different world. For every pitcher that pans out, there are MANY more that don't. MLB bullpens are filled with failed starters.
  4. Some people believe Biggio isnt have a bad season too. There must be some undercover Jays employees on these boards because the blind optimism is concerning at times lol.
  5. Take notes Tellez... thats how you knock it down at least...
  6. You don't think we need to address our starting pitching? We have 2 good starters right now and a wild card in Matz. If you think we can go the whole season with this rotation and be a contender then I completely disagree. Also, it is highly unlikely our bullpen will trend how they have been for 162 games considering most are unknown scrubs and will be worn out by then
  7. It's exactly what I was saying to start the thread. People are always green on prospects. You cannot mark anyone in your rotation who has not proven it on this stage. We're gonna have to make a move very soon or our season will be a wash.
  8. Did it? Just saw the ball go through his legs.
  9. Damn man. Vladdys average is about to dip under .300 soon. I already have you penciled as a top 5 MVP candidate so no going back now.
  10. Guessing they must have worked together in the minors/offsite camp this and last year.
  11. This is brutal to watch man. It's always why I don't care too much about minor league performance. Whole different game at the bigs.
  12. Always thought players in those situations should just drop the ball and go for the double play. You also get a much slower base runner in Maldenado on the bases lol.
  13. Come on Biggio... at least make contact man.
  14. Anyone see Girchuk peak to the opposite side before hitting the ball there? Gotta love that AIM lol.
  15. I think everyone's stuff would usually play up in the pen but if you can determine Pearson is destined for the pen already, please tell me the upcoming lottery numbers lol
  16. Anything less than a complete game shutout with 14 Ks is a disappointment lol.
  17. Very excited to see Pearson. Almost the same buzz for me when Springer made his debut.
  18. I saw a bit but I did say "meaningful game". ST numbers are pretty useless for the most part. Players are just going up there to work off the rust and don't really game plan like they do in a regular season game so you can catch them off guard.
  19. Doesn't it feel like that people always like the new shiny toy? I haven't seen Manoah pitch a meaningful game but I'm definitely intrigued based on the hype he's getting. To make the jump he's seeming to make so fast is a great sign.
