    We paid him 10M coming off a down year where he had a major injury. Good luck paying him that little after a season like this lol.

    So KKs downside is basically what Varsho is doing for us this year lol. The real answer is probably keeping both around and u just roll with the better player at CF. Varsho won't have much value after a season like this anyways while KK shouldn't require anything more than a 2 year commitment. Both are ideal 4th OFers in the worst cast too.

    Not to mention the amount of great hustle plays KK makes offensively that no one else on the team can replicate. His intangible plays + him seeming like a great leader are more reasons to keep him around.

    So you're justification is that Varsho will magically become a useful offensive player while KK will fall off immediately. No one's saying we need to give KK a long term deal. A 2 year deal at most is what should be expected here. KK, even if he falls off, would make a great 4th OFer/pinch runner.

    I swear it feels like Vlad has been hitting a lot of balls off the end of his bat. Either move up an inch in the box or invest in a slighter longer bat lol

    No just no. You don't have to justify the s***** Varsho trade by making another dumb move by letting the superior player go because of it

    I'm rolling with KK until his body says he can't do it anymore. Only way that doesn't happen is if Shatkins want to make the Varsho trade look better by having him at CF.
