    Vlad is a 1st baseman... stop with the extremes from 1 super down year. I can't see him be any worse even if he tried next year. Although the same could be said about the entire batting lineup, which makes you wonder wtf are they doing over there.

    There is 0 reason to go after him. He didn't give 2 shits about playing for the Jays when he was good... we don't need him when he'll probably be a flat out scrub next year. Dudes gotta be like the oldest hitter in baseball going into next year lol.

    Wow... people are actually defending brining back the hitting coach. Pretty much everyone across the board performed well below their expectations and we're supposed to say "ah shucks, try again". Jays have one of few highest payrolls in the AL. Running back with all the major players back intact is borderline insanity.

    That's not what I meant because I'd obviously go nuts if we ever got Ohtani. Just meant I would prefer to get a guy like Judge and an elite pitcher for the same price as Ohtani if we had the choice. In the end, my post was unnecessary lol.

    Let's get Hoskins and Teo BUT I'm still concerned what we can do about 3B if we lose Chapman. Defense at 3B is extremely important, especially with Bo being at SS. Are there any good Plan B's there?

    Well obviously is the overall better player but I'm also considering Ohtani is going to get paid 10/550. Hard to commit that much to 1 guy. I'd rather hedge on 2 guys instead but that's just me.

    Also benefits us to have our name mentioned because if we don't get him then the other team has to pay more, leaving less money for other players.

    Offseason wishlist RF Springer SS Bo DH/LF - Left handed bat through trade 1B Vlad LF/DH Teo CF Varsho - have to hope for a bounce back year 3B Chapman - Only if it's reasonable C Kirk/Jansen 2B Biggio/Schneider platoon SP - lose Ryu sucks but hope Manaoh takes that spot BP - losing Hicks will suck since I can't see us paying him. Will hope Green is back and becomes our closer with Romano the setup guy.

    I'm on his side after the BS he went through. We're already stacked at SP so unless he comes cheap, I think the FO will elect to spend elsewhere. Also think they're too soft to sign him anyways lol.

    So we do remove people for underperforming in their role. Crazy how Atkins can still keep his job while sucking at his. Guess it pays to be bed buddies with your boss lol.

    Isn't everything I said there true? We ended up getting KK after we already had Varsho so that downgraded Varshos importance to the tram. Now we're trying to go back and do the same thing by moving Varsho to CF so we can get a better bat in the corner OF spot. I obviously would have preferred never trading for Varsho while just signing KK who provided everything Varsho did and more.

    It's crazy that the only team to not make the playoffs in the past 4 years was actually our best team. That 2021 team scared the f*** outta ppl but sadly our bullpen/defense was just too s***.
