  1. Depending on how our season goes, we might be begging him to comeback for the 3rd time by that time loll.
  2. AA provided this franchise the best baseball it's seen since '93 and u wrote all that to support Shatkins? Lol The Jays had the best and most entertaining roster in baseball in 2015 and were very close to winning it all. Wake me up when these guys come close to doing the same. Watching this team last year was absolutely brutal. This is a results based industry and AA has clearly gone onto achieving MUCH MORE success than the guys that replaced him here. Its not even a debate for anyone but the Shatkins nuthuggers. Now that doesn't mean it has to stay this way but we may have already missed our best chance to succeed with Bo and Vladdys extensions not even factoring in yet.
  3. It wasn't only that comment alone... it was that comment after people knew he blasted AA for "emptying" the system for the best success the Jays have had since '93. Shatkins have "emptied" the system and we haven't won a single playoff game in an expanded playoff era but hey... those renovations though lol.
  4. Don't worry, Kikuchi's got us here lol
  5. If we trade our best offensive player when our offense is the clear weakness then hell ya, the sky is falling. Based on the track record of Shatkins, my overreaction has been more on point than you're "everything the Bluejays do is great" approach lol.
  6. Moreno and Gurriel say hi lol
  7. So we're going to improve our offense by trading our best offensive player by far. f*** man... this better not be it.
  8. I edited my post man. It was more to speak of how valuable Cimber was vs comparing him to Romano. That's all.
  9. Ahhh makes sense. And relievers become good and bad all the time. 2023 could have just been one really bad year for him. I can easily see him become serviceable again in 2024 but obviously have nothing to go on with that comment lol.
  10. You might want to refresh your memory and go check his numbers from 2021 and 2022. Then go look at who else was in our bullpen for those seasons. He literally just had one really bad year, which was this past season.
  11. Damn... guy took the words "like our best reliever" as literally our best reliever. Obviously he wasn't doing better than the guy who was closing games for us but was hoping you'd understand the post to get the point lol.
  12. Report: Blue Jays making push to reunite with Chapman https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2768000 This might be our big splash lol. Seriously though, I def want him back but really hope it's not a crippling contract. He hasn't earned it.
  13. Damn... Cimber was one of our best relievers when he got traded here lol. It speaks to how pathetic that bullpen was at the time. Still think he's a good low leverage guy to have in the pen so sucks to lose him for nothing.
  14. White Sox trade Bummer to Braves for Soroka, 4 others https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2767733
  15. 0 playoff wins in 8 years while being in an expanded playoff era with many of those playoff losses being embarrassing. Oh and that whole "waves of talent for sustainable winning" isn't happening because we have a bottom third farm system while already spending near the top of the AL with our 2 best players not even locked up long term. Like wtf else does anyone need to see here man... GTFO lol.
  16. Wonder if they'll be watching YFC 297 in Toronto lol
  17. Those contracts on the backend almost always never workout, which is why I've never complained about not paying players on any 10+ year contract. It's like throwing away 100M imo but I'd be first in line buying an Ohtani jersey if it did happen. Like you're saying, if I was going to invest longterm in someone, it would be a Supreme athlete like Ohtani. It's also why I'm so scared what a Vladdy extension could look like. Just say no to fatties.
  18. It's so hard as a Jays fan to have any hope for a guy like Ohtani. We have not been in on guys at his level and contract, most of which I think is smart, and now we are going to give out the biggest contract of all time? Ya, ok lol.
  19. Probably shouldn't have spent 350M so fast and waited for game changing players like Ohtani to blow their load on lol
  20. Come back AA!!
  21. So basically you're saying that you're gay lol
  22. I will not let myself believe we have any chance at Ohtani. The fact he's actually coming here instead of making teams come to him is surprising too.
  23. I will tone back my criticism of Shatkins if they show the balls to get Bauer. I know it's not happening but it'd be awesome if it did. Then trade one of our Starters for an elite bat.
  24. Imagine drooling over an offseason article while ignoring 0 playoff wins in an expanded playoff era. Wish titles were won by calculators lol.
  25. My God... id get that deal if Chapman was coming off a couple of great but he was horrible at the plate for too long to ignore. we would have re-signed Semien if we were throwing that type of money around.
