    Especially with both players attached to compensatory picks, it just doesn't make sense for teams to offer these guys a super short term deal either. Boras may have screwed his clients here but let's see.

    Still can't believe Chapman is holding out for a massive payday when he was utterly s*** at the plate for 75% of the season. At least Bellinger put up good numbers lol.

    Ya but that's the thing... if we were working on a tight budget, IFK really isn't the guy I'd spend some of that money on considering it took 2 years to lock him up.

    I really like the low risk high reward aspect with Anderson. Easily a better deal than IFK if he was willing to play 3B, which we don't know at the moment.

    Ya, it seems like he went home because he got no legit offers to stay in the MLB. I thought he was alright last year and saved us from tanking when Manoah got sent down. We really had no Plan B that could have kept us afloat last year. With some more time removed from the injury, thought hed have a solid season. I guess we'll never find out.

    Not sure if it's been talked about but I really wish we brought back Ryu on a cheap deal and traded another starter for some much needed offense.

    Just name value alone doesn't make this a discussion. It's not like Trout can't play anymore. There was a reason why the Jays had a separate "Ohtani budget" and while Trout isn't as marketable as Ohtani, you do have to factor stuff like this in.

    So much convo for a minor league deal lol. I applaud the Jays if they hand out 20 more of these. You never know which guy worked his ass off in the offseason to bounce back. Projections don't work in every case and you just hope to hit on 1 or maybe 2 of these dudes. If not then who the f*** cares lol.

    Ya, he had a couple of good years before being horrible last year. Would be a great get on a minor league deal but horrible on a major league deal. We all hold our breathe waiting here lol.

    There are also examples in the nba where guys lose weight and actually become worse (Kevin Love). It honestly comes down to the way you lose the weight. A lot of people just eat less and/or do cardio but totally neglect weight training. Of course you're going to get weaker if weights are not part of your plan.
