I would sign up yesterday if Kirk can have that type of career lol. It's not like you're going to have a midget play 1B either so he has no backup position once his knees become shot.

But it's so sad to have a noodle bat who clogs the bases. After we get the automated strike zone, I can't think of a reason why he'd be anything more than a backup catcher without drastic improvements.

What would it hurt is the question. I'm sure you've played baseball before... sometimes the dumbest things like changing where you are in the lineup, what bat or batting gloves you're using can make things click. Then you can also say Bo has batted before Vlad for most of their careers, which has yielded better success. Keeping with status quo clearly isn't working.

Been saying this too man. Some people didn't like Vlad being before Bo so why not change it in hopes of something different happens. Like what do u have to lose.

People want to talk about AA's track record of only making the playoffs once when it was truly twice since 2016 was still his team. Then you have to factor that AA was the GM during a time where there 4 playoff spots. People giving Shatkins the benefit when he's playing in an expanded playoff era and still can't win a damn game when it means the most. Then people talking about AA from 2010 to 2014 but what about Shatkins from 2017 to 2020? We all understand it takes a bit of time to start all over the way your envision the team. Shatkins wanted "waves of talent for sustainable winning" but guess what, we're still looking for a single playoff win and might have to do a full out rebuild since the farm system can't keep up with our current roster getting too expensive. Truly didn't want the conversation to go that far. It went from just remembering the great times when we had Donaldson/Batista/Edwin to people trying to think Shatkins are in the same ballpark as AA. Go take a poll with non-biased folks and see if AA doesn't win in a landslide lol.

Honestly, it's hilarious that you truly think this. AA has run circles around Shapiro and didn't want someone above him that he thought he was better than. If it were up to Shapiro, 2015/2016 would have never happened and those were easily the best Jays seasons since the back to back championships.

Repeat after me: He wasn't a yes man and didn't care to work for Shapiro. Pretty obvious that's what happened here lol.

Hated his guts for the Dickey trade but then he kept making the right moves as his tenure went on. He was a young guy then and has clearly shown staggering improvement with more experience.

I miss that trio so much man. There was surreal confidence every time they came to the plate. Then AA took that magic to Atlanta and built a powerhouse entertaining squad there. Replacing him has gotta be one of the worst moves in franchise history.

I have faith in both turning it around. Just frustrating as hell seeing them suck this much. There's very little entertainment factor with this team and they're the 2 biggest culprits at this point.
