  1. can't put it all on the offense when the pitching gives up 7 to the Orioles lol
  2. If I was Atkins, I'd fire Montoyo while the season is still salvageable. Show the players that their play has consequences. Hell, I would have fired Montoyo right after he threw that game against the Indians to prove a point to Chatwood, but there's been egregious errors since then and that was like what, 2 weeks ago? In the words of Shea Hillibrand, the ship is sinking lol.
  3. You can see it with the body language. During the first month of the season there was a palpable enthusiasm and swagger... You don't see any of it now and the mental gaffes are increasing. Not good signs.
  4. Don't think I've ever seen a former player work for 2 teams simultaneously before. Most channels have exclusivity clauses when it comes to the regular season.
  5. I thought the Jays were going to crush the O's. When I saw that Eshelman mowed em down, I placed a live bet against them. I'm calling it, there's major clubhouse problems right now. Can't be much fun playing in a home park where the fans are regularly cheering against you either.
  6. Isn't Morneau the Twins color guy? Strange for a guy to be working for 2 teams simultaneously.
  7. He looks heavier this year, and not in a good way lol
  8. I listen to the daily Wager Talk and Sports Book Review baseball Youtube shows for my analysis now. The gambling guys provide MUCH better day to day coverage than the talking heads on TV.
  9. lol man, Blair's a dumbass. Like dumb and dumber listening to Baseball Central
  10. This club looks demoralized right now. I think Montoyo's lost the clubhouse. Got mowed down by Eshelman... WTF!?
  11. Hey guys, if you have live betting, you might wanna get some money in on the O's. They're at decent money right now and Jays ain't winning this game lol
  12. No doubt. But still, I would've guessed that Grich accumulated more WAR
  13. Has anyone else been crushing it by live betting against the Jays when the bullpens get involved? I hate to do it, but the pen/Chralie's game calling is just such a glaring weakness right now that it's easy to capitalize on. Been like printing money lately. Thank God we'll be going to Baltimore now tho, Jays should be able to tear them apart. If not... Will Atkins fire Montoyo to try and right the ship?
  14. Damn, I didn't realize Rowdy was doing so well. As much as I don't see much of a future for him, we could definitely use some production from the left hand side. Hopefully he can keep it going.
  15. Have you never watched Randal Grichuk play? He's ALWAYS been streaky as hell.
  16. I agree with ya, man. It's like he has no gut feeling for the game being played on the field. I really don't see why the front office and the media think so highly of this guy. But I guess maybe the players really take to him or something, I dunno... I've lost all confidence in the guy.
  17. I'm hopeful too! Should be interesting to see how he fares now that they're cracking down on the ball substances.
  18. Unlucky? They completely crumbled in the late innings... Chatwood came in and walked 3 straight, Edwards serving up the meatball, Semien getting picked off for a crucial late game out, Bichette not able to make a routine throw in the 9th, Jays unable to add insurance runs with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs... I could keep on going. It was ugly baseball
  19. There's a lot more to baseball than the number of hits. Blaming the park is ignorant cause some of those hits off the wall would have been routine fly balls in other parks... It goes both ways. You could tell the Jays were playing scared tho, giving gift after gift to Boston while their momentum continued to grow. Jays really need a vet on the team to lead the way. Maybe it'll be Springer when he gets on the field. I don't know much about him personality wise tho.
  20. I hear ya but you know what they say, good teams find ways to win games and bad teams find ways to lose games. Boston relievers pitched out of tight situations while Jays relievers crumbled, Boston ran the bases well while Jays made some crucial late game brain farts, Bo making perhaps a game losing error on an easy ground out ETC. So while it seemed like Jays were well positioned to win, they simply couldn't play fundamental ball when it mattered. Definitely a lot of blame to go around for the performance last night.
  21. To be fair, Boston's the real deal and have a helluva offense. We got beat by the better team, no shame in that. At least we kept it competitive.
  22. Fenway's an epic park. No funner stadium to be at in the league. Don't be mad just cause the Jays sucked
  23. As much as I dislike Montoyo, the problem is that a lot of these mangers are handcuffed by the advanced statistics and ordered from above to follow them at all costs. It's like with Cash pulling Snell so early last World Series.
