I don’t think he is the type of player wired that way. I think he is always trying 110%. I think he just needed to get locked in and some luck. New team, new league, batting 3-5 to start. I think he needed time to regress to his norm. His D and hustle never faulted.

I have my doubts about Espinal and Biggio also. Hence I love Dejong at SS and Witt at 2b.

To the point I would rather have Schneider, Witt, Belt, Jansen, and KK at bat rather than Vlad when you need a sac fly. That is sad to say about your 3rd and 4th hitters.

Trade deadline acquisition came in at like 25 mins after the deadline. They gave up jackshit for him and then DFAd Arroyo.

The Curse of the Cardinals. Varsho loves it because he is not the target of wrath anymore. Djong was picked up for D. Anything else is a plus.

I think forgotten in the offensive “outburst” is that the team played really solid D and nipped some potential rallies in the bud. Great win!!

Last time we were in Fenway, we played some really s*** D.. I was at two of the games and there were things that might not have showed up as an E on the scorecard that really killed us, or opened the flood gates from what had been a close game. I think it was Biggio or Espinal for one two of them ICR. Regardless, we need to play tight D, and have our RP keep us in the game. I believe a few walk offs last time. Let's Go Jays!!!
