    I think you make a good point about a warm location. Traditionally, baseball was over in Oct due to weather factors in the North. With no fans, do like the Superbowl or NCAA football for playoffs, pick one or two southern or locations with roofs and have the payoffs in November if need be. There is no reason why not. Of course you are competing with football, but you do that anyway in October.. Just don't schedule playoff games for when there are big NFL games.

    So when it rains it pours.. In this case literally... Hurricane Isaias is tracking to go up the east coast of the US, affecting areas like Baltimore, DC, with rain etc...Maybe later moving up towards NY, Boston... Depending on shifts could mean rain for places like Atlanta also... Miami is not playing so won't affect them.. But just one more wrench in the mix

    This fnnn sucks, but no reason to cancel the season, they just need to be flexible and keep trucking through it. I thought it was not smart to start the season on the 23rd or whatever it was with only two games, why not all teams? That extra day makes a difference. If the players and owners got their s*** together, they could have started early July which would have given them a lot more flexibility now. This season is going to have a huge asterisks beside it anyway if you win the WS and you get a s*** draft pick the next year. Having said, that, I would rather have some baseball even if 7 inning double headers then nada. Allow them to dip into their pools sin penalty and cancel off days etc. They are all regionally based so travel is not east coast west coast etc. Play ball!!!

    Yes, I am, aware he is available now. My point was I knew based on the rules, since I checked, I could not take him on the 26th, or prior to the 28th after 8 pm, so I did not.

    For what it is worth, I was thinking of adding Hatch since ST. I could not since he had not pitched above AA, or 1 MLB appearance (ICR what that rule is here) then I could not add him after his first start last week exactly because of this rule. If we have the rule, I am in agreement we need to follow it.

    It doesn't make a bit of sense. I shared the new DC regulations about anyone on non essential business arriving from among other states, Florida. Effective July 27th. The Blue Jays just arrived from St. Pete and I was told since MLB has an exemption, the rules do not apply to them. Yet now a local rule applies to baseball? WTF?

    Not my emotions amigo.. Supposedly there is some bad blood between Atkins and Stroman. Atkins feels disrespected by Stroman and Stroman didn't respect his position/authority etc. If you want to talk purely business, sin emotions. No way I am blowing a wad on an injury prone guy who was out-pitched by Ryan Borucki the last two years and is only getting older, who also would not be great for chemistry both club house and FO.

    The relationship with management is fractured as it is with some of the players. If the Jay's FO wanted Stroman, they would have signed him when he was here. I see a snowballs chance in hell.

    They are loading up on players as we speak from FAs and waiver wire etc, Logan Forsythe was just added. They can also dip into their 60 man. They will resume Monday, whether it will be a competitive MLB team, is another question.

    If anyone hears, knows anything on potential Dylan Carlson and Nick Magridal call ups, please post. I was thinking that with Pearson debuting today, that other top prospects might also since the extra year is issue is now past. However, I have not heard a peep on anyone except Pearson? Thanks!

I don't even know who you are as a poster and certainly don't monitor you in case you responded to a post of mine. I like how you IMPLY I am implying something that wasn't even fnnn close to what I said. How about you don't make stupid assumptions and imply I am implying something..     Merrill Kelley had a 7 inning 1 hitter until fnn Odor hit a Hr.. Still 7.2 innings 3 hits 1 run vs Texas is pretty damn good.

    I never said he would lose his spot and not after one start. No I did NOT imply that. The post was in response and right after posts talking about to using other starters as piggy back combos. Like a Thorton/Borucki start day. That works out fine if Roark goes 5 innings etc. If he gets rocked and only goes 2-3 then you will probably have to dip into the well and use a Borucki etc on a Roark start day, which subsequently messes up a planned piggy back day. He pitched fine tonight, albeit a line up now sin Soto, Rendon and featuring Bonfacio.. I wouldn't get all excited yet..
