  1. Why not - just f***ing swing away boys, what have we got to lose?
  2. f*** me. Someone please stop this, it's getting beyond demoralizing. Seriously this is starting to feel like divine punishment for something.
  3. Right, but before people try to tie the can on Rogers or Shatkins they should recognize that the payroll is healthy and the FO clearly had limited wiggle room to work with in the offseason. http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/ The real test of Shatkins is what they do now with a full rebuild on the horizon.
  4. According to Cots Rogers is paying $163m+ for this catastrophe. Thank f*** it dips dramatically next year to $76m and that's before trades. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yWSNPHx65_se_zS7qGR-i1VUBkBvNU7sXBHmyXHmE4s/edit
  5. This^. Regression I get, but we are rapidly becoming a laughing stock and that's just not f***ing funny. s*** needs to change and fast.
  6. Team WAR: Pillar 0.4 Barney 0.3 Bautista -0.4 Morales 0.0 Smoak 0.3 Pearce -0.6 Travis -0.5 Maile 0.1 (projected) Goins 0.2 Combined batting lineup: -0.2 Stroman 0.7 = Combined team WAR: 0.5 [Tampa Bay = Combined team WAR: 4.2]
  7. *Sighs* How we could use the likes of Barfield, Bell, Moseby and McGriff now.
  8. Honest question, no troll. Can anyone on here tell me how the MiLB package is? I have MLB.tv and I'm wondering if it's worth adding the minors? I have a feeling I will be taking much more of an interest this year.
  9. 6-16? f*** me, how did it ever come to this?
  10. It's not scientific, statistical or even logical, but I know exactly what you mean. Since a lousy offseason in which virtually none of our major needs were addressed (even as EE left), to a s***** spring training without Donaldson, to the worst start in franchise history with mounting injuries this has felt like a flawed abortion of a season from the outset. Tonight's 'lineup' has been the cherry on a s*** parfait.
  11. Fowler continues to troll the Jays...
  12. Even the Sportsnet replay guy is f***ing up...Oh my this is awesome...
  13. So 2 outs and we've already seen: >Barney fumble a double play ball >A run scoring that should have been given out >3 runs scoring for the Cards LOL. Wow. That's gold Jerry, gold.
  14. Honestly the only reason I'm even watching this game is for the comedic value. And it has already begun.
  15. This is not meant as a comment on Rogers, Shapiro, Atkins, Gibbons or AA, but to put this lineup out in April is an absolute disgrace. There is just no excuse for this.
  16. Team WAR: Pillar 0.4 Coghlan -0.1 Carrera 0.3 Morales -0.1 Salty -0.5 Pearce -0.6 Goins 0.4 Barney 0.2 Lawrence -0.1 Combined team WAR: -0.1
  17. This is true. Being 7-15 if that happens on the other hand...
  18. Glass half full: at least we're witnessing history. Glass half empty: wtf are we watching?
  19. This. He's not good enough to be giving up on a play like that.
  20. Any sign man, any sign at this stage. If Smoak hadn't decided to give up on the play, we'd be heading to extra innings right now.
  21. It doesn't seem to really matter in one sense, but if Smoak puts in any effort there it's likely 8-6. Brutal. EDIT: It would actually be 8-8! f*** you Smoak you POS.
  22. It's not impossible, given that Morales is going to hit in mostly hitters-friendly parks in the East and EE has to bat in some of the Central's cavernous grounds. And for the record I am also a huge EE fan.
  23. This is true and a sad reality for this team and us as fans to have to come to grips with so early in the season. This is also true and the two realities are not mutually exclusive. I want to see the Jays at least bring back some respectability to the franchise by moving close to .500 over the next few weeks before we start to face the inevitable retooling. This losing streak has been a nightmare and today's win felt like a huge relief. More winning please, then we can start to analyze the coming changes...
