  1. Even though I haven't played one of these since the glory days of Championship Manager in the early 2000's, this news still annoys me. So many awesome players that were must buys, and never became good in real life - Kennedy Bakircioglu, Mads Jorgensen (who I once saw live in a Denmark u21 game vs England!), Tonton Zola Moukoko, the list goes on!
  2. Yeah, it's bloody weird with no crowd! It's just not the same, I hope they don't try to finish the Champions League unless they let fans in.
  3. Footballers are thick as s*** though, a few have already been caught out visiting hookers, crashing cars etc. All it takes is one to ignore guidelines, catch it and show no symptoms to then spread to others in a contact sport.
  4. If it's not safe for fans, it's not safe for players either.
  5. McKinney is a terrible player and a waste of a roster spot, but I suppose we could get some int pool money from Baltimore!
  6. Protect all the pitchers! It’d be amazing if an expansion team could take rubbish like McKinney off our hands. Outside of the few core players we still have a really bad team.
  7. I got an email from the Astros saying they’ll now be processing my opening week tickets as the prospect of the games being rearranged is “unlikely”. Not sure if it’s the same policy as the Jays, and I don’t know what’s happening with later/ season tickets etc.
  8. Finally got confirmation that a refund is being processed for MLB tickets. Assume that means teams have been warned that the season is going to be cancelled or at least restricted attendances if they do play any games.
  9. Qualifying offer comp (technically between 1st and 2nd round).
  10. Would screw us on Giles being unable to be traded too.
  11. Our biggest weaknesses are cb and midfielder, Foden makes a massive difference (him Henderson and Oxlade Chamberlain is a very good 3), and we have an extra year to find a cb to go with Maguire.
  12. Trying to stay positive - Euros being delayed a year means that Harry Kane will be back from injury and Phil Foden will almost certainly play enough games for Man City to get picked. I reckon England are now the favourites - all our best players are under 30 and the semis and final are at home!
  13. If the limit of 50 people is still in place then they can’t play at all. Players, coaches and ground staff would still need to be there. IMO the most likely result is a shortened season if the virus is over by the summer, or a complete cancellation if it’s still going strong (and if the latter then baseball will be the last thing on anyone’s mind anyway!).
  14. Anyone have tickets for opening week? The Astros are dragging their feet over refunding my tickets for a couple of their opening games.
  15. It’s absolutely true though. Elite men are better at football than elite women.
  16. So Liverpool are out now, but Bayern look very strong. I'll stick with PSG and Man City as my picks for now though!
  17. That was never going to get it done. They can’t have wanted him that much.
  18. They probably won't make the playoffs this year, but the White Sox are now set up to be an elite team from as early as next season.
