    It's baseball. Short series anything can happen. Or did you already forget the Braves won 88 games last year? How many games did the Giants win?

    I don't think so. In a short series if put our "A" lineup with Gausman, Manoah and Berrios and decent umpiring, we could take them for a ride. Come October, I want Montoyo to walk up to Boone, look him square in the eye and say, "I'm your huckleberry."

    More teams in the playoff with expanded wc and those with possibility of making the wc means there will be less sellers this year. Bear that in mind if Atkins doesn't land the White Whale everyone is hoping for.

    Yep. It was interesting to hear an interview with Liam Hendriks last time we played the Chisox. The Jays were in on him but he basically said that the Jays were too conservative for his tastes so he signed with Chicago. They really have to re-evaluate what qualities they look for in the pen. One of the reasons I was surprised when former Jay, Bryan Barker came out of the pen for the Orioles throwing smoke against us. I wondered how could they Jays just let a hard thrower walk yet keep guys like Borucki and Thornton? They don't value hard throwers I guess.
