I think some of you here don't understand the importance of the Alomar hr. It was against Eckersly who was basically unhittable and was a douchebag to boot. Also it was the hr that broke the ice finally. Before that the Jays couldn't conceive of getting over the the hump. It was a seminal moment. Perhaps you had to live through it to get it.

Don't care about the oddsmakers. Throw them out. Four games are winnable if the Jays play to their capabilities. The big questions for me are: How do they deploy Bichette? Will his bat be up to speed after the long layoff? We need every lefty swinging dick we can muster out of the pen. Will this be the redemption arc for Little or is it just an issue between the ears for him? JS has to rethink his tactics of bullpen management. Will he adapt to using Bassitt and Lauer in bigger spots or is he going with the same old? Is IKF now a fixture in the starting lineup? Going to be a heck of a ride. -
Post Script: Not to put too fine a point on this game/series but I felt an inner peace prior to this game as noted above. I'm so happy that both teams played error free baseball and that this game wasn't decided on a controversial call or flub. Congratulations to the Mariners for a great season. They took our Jays to task for seven games right to the last out. That said, George Springer is now immortalized in Blue Jay lore. The summer of George continues into the fall. Congratulations to everyone on this board especially the Old Timey guys who have stuck with this team. We're going to the dance!
