    I get the sense this off-season is now turning towards a buyers market. The orgs patience and unwillingness to over pay may start paying dividends, starting with the Santander signing. Maybe Bregman doesn't get AAV he's looking for? Maybe Alonso has to settle for something other than the optimal outcome. Could be good news for the Jays.

    Seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Likeable guy. The Jays need some of his high energy and enthusiasm after a losing season. Said he will play "wherever the skipper needs me." Feeling pretty good about this signing.

    Springer batting leadoff in 2025 tells us that Schneider has not really developed as a manager. You would think that after the past few seasons he has learned to break away from his traditional thinking and become more dynamic in his approach. He has to change it up or we may be in for a long season. Keep doing what you've always done.....

    If he gives the Jays 35+ knocks a year then it will be a successful signing. Anything less, considering his one dimensional utility, well, not much to get excited about. A few more pieces to go and we may have something.

    You know it was an absolute s*** show when other executives around the league are left dumbfounded. From the Athletic, It was a dubious strategy, especially without a deal in place, prompting one rival executive to say, “My phone has been blowing up all day with ‘wtf Jays.’” An executive still involved in the process took note of the Blue Jays adding to the pool of money they could offer Sasaki, but took some solace in the fact that Wolfe had given the remaining clubs similar instructions. But the Blue Jays’ motivation was clear: They hoped that their push for Sasaki would end differently from their failed runs at Ohtani and Juan Soto, which only teased the fan base and further framed the franchise as perpetual runners-up.

    This is embarrassing if true. How is it that other orgs had a line on this and not the Jays? When/if Atkins ever gets released by the Jays, he will never get another opportunity as gm of another team. Well maybe if the Angels come calling.

    Well I would dispute that signing Vlad is the best case scenario, there are strong opinions both ways. Given that they sign Vlad, who would you list as a pretty solid core Max, please don't list Gimenez, Varsho, Kirk.
