  1. Over. Good chance if you just stand in the batters box and don't swing he will walk you. Hopefully Kansas City is swinging at everything.
  2. 6 innings of 1 run ball coming up.
  3. Our pitchers aren't being babied anymore in the minors. Atleast the way they use to be. As for Stroman they are monitoring his innings. Just to a lesser extent because he was built up more than Sanchez ever was. It would be more of a story if he wasn't having a disappointing season compared to what was expected.
  4. Hes been hurt though.
  5. Upton finally gets to face a lefty tomorrow and its Danny Duffy. f*** off.
  6. Until he goes 10-17 against us per usual.
  7. Hopefully he doesn't strike out 3 times every game like Saunders has been doing.
  8. I suppose if hes hitting 5th or leadoff the complaints would be justified. I want him to get on base more to but he kinda is who he is. Our offense doesn't suffer because of Pillar.
  9. That Goldschmidt guy looks nice.
  10. As long as Pillar hits 8th or 9th nobody should ever complain about his hitting. Not every player in your lineup can be above average. His defence more than makes up for what his bat doesn't provide. And hes also capable of hot streaks. it looked like he was starting to lay off the the garbage he would swing at during the second half last year. That went back to square one this year. He was even putting the ball in play more as well. It's a bit frustrating Pressure of the leadoff spot? The hitting coach wanting him to try to hit for more power? Whatever it is I don't think its a complete lost cause.
  11. Barnes is our secret weapon nobody needs to talk about him.
  12. Why? A homerun and 2 walks is a great day.
  13. Voters might not like those 4 errors! Even though he gets to way more Baseball's resulting in more plays and more throws. Yes he should win it in a land slide. His only competition missed half the season.
  14. Well I'm not saying you have to trade him but if you can get an amazing return you absolutely do it.
  15. If Happ wins Cy Young you look to trade him in the off-season for a haul. The chances of him ever being this good are extremely unlikely. He really only had that one atrocious start against Tampa I believe. They just pelted him think he gave up 3 or 4 homeruns and went 2 innings.
  16. What an odd list. If Britton wins Cy Young I will puke.
  17. If I had to pick someone else for Thole to catch it would be Stroman. Leave Sanchez, Happ, and Estrada alone. Rosters can't expand quick enough. Martin is going to have to be horse in August. I doubt he gets much time off unless its a day game after a night game. They might try to align Dickey to pitch those games as often as they possibly can.
  18. Sanchez isn't really a max effort guy though. He doesn't need to throw as hard as he can to hit 95-96. It did appear he was trying to over throw in his last start vs Baltimore though. He wasn't practically good in that outing despite the 7 innings and 2 earned runs. I don't want to see Sanchez being used like Osuna though either. That would be the nail in his coffin. Osuna has been used in some bizarre situations this year. And nights we could have really used him hes been unavailable. Lets hope Grilli, Benoit, and Cecil can do an adequate job down the stretch so we don't have to see Osuna with 4 run leads or nightmare situations where he already has to come in with runners on instead of starting a clean inning because Gibbons tried to strech his starter to far.
  19. Call it whatever you want. Shapiro and Atkins wanted to try something different. I would like to think most players understand this situation gets played out every year. If we are .500 right now nobody is talking about it. As much as a 6 man rotation is annoying. I'd rather he continues to start over going to the pen where Gibbons would be tempted to use him everynight. If Lirano and Dickey give us a chance to win this will work out beautifully. The piggy backing days appear to be over. Sean Reid-Foley isn't being treated with kid gloves. Hes being pushed in starts and despite how fast he comes. Will have built up enough innings to hit the ground running. Knock on wood.
  20. Lol even if that was true that would make him 7 years younger 😂.
  21. Nice win. Apprently we set some kind of strikeout record but we won 3 of 4 games so who gives a f***.
