They can't wait until they can trade Stroman. Problem is he needs to pitch well first. I would love if he was moved at the Deadline. Rockies seem like a fit.
Joe West are you f***ing serious. What a f***ing ****. We are trying to get Teo to take pitches. He lays off those s***** pitches and calls them strikes!
I like the defined role of your best reliever facing the toughest part of the lineup. I would hope if were facing 2,3,4 Osuna would be pitching the 8th in 2018.
I can't believe I benched Matt Carpenter because Lester owned him career. I should have just rode the hot streak. FML. 2 homeruns and still in the second inning.
Well that could work in our favour as well. In recent years we have showed that we are willing to take on salary to get a better prospect learn. People are quick to forget. But when we traded for Liriano for Teoscar Hernandez and took on the remainder of Nori Aoki's salary. So if teams are looking to dump money. We can both sell and take on money for better prospects.
I wonder if the Rays would give us something for Luke Maile since he knows the pitching staff and they desperately need a catcher. And we can promote Jansen right now and let him establish himself.
I am not disagreeing with you on that. My list was players who will for sure be gone by the 3PM on July 31st. If you get a good offer for Oh you 100 percent deal him and don't think twice. I know how inconsistent relievers can be year to year. But you aren't giving Oh away for a lottery ticket. He would be a guy you would love to have back at 2.5 million next season where he once again would be a trade candidate.
If you get a good return for Oh you do it otherwise you keep him for next year. I really think they should move Tepera now. I think his arm is going to explode at anytime.
Happ
Granderson
Clippard
Axford
Loup
Are all getting traded at the deadline 100 percent. Probably nets us 1 legit prospect and a handful of lottery tickets.
Apparently he takes ground balls at Third Base everyday. Hasn't had start there since last year though. Hes got intriguing versatility upside with his bat carrying him. Exciting prospect.
It seems like Relievers with control get the best returns at the deadline in the past several years. Tepera should absolutely be moved. I wonder if someone would overpay for Oh knowing he has a cheap option year next year.
I'm sure the Padres will give him every opportunity to catch but hes likely playing Outfield at the next level. The Indians even toyed with the idea of putting him at Third getting rid of Kipnis and putting Ramirez back at Second Base where he wants to play.
This also makes me wonder if they don't think Andrew Miller is going to come back and be effective. Obviously slides Cody Allen into a lower leverage role.
