  1. Probably an excellent chance Vogelbach makes it to Rochester. They can try to fif him there.
  2. I’m sure they have a scholarship program of some sort. But its a school for rich kids for parents who think their young ones are going to be stars.
  3. Roark might continue to start games just because of the $12 million he makes next season and that sucks. His leash in his outings should be atleast short now that we legit have some quality multi inning options.
  4. If I was Stripling I would super pissed if he ends up pitching out of the bullpen. He should the guy that takes that open rotation spot no questions asked. The fact that the article even mentioned that annoys me. He didn’t come here to pitch long relief for the Blue Jays. He could have done that with the Dodgers.
  5. If that’s the case fine. But if someone gets hurt he would be the guy I would want to jump in the rotation. Dodgers are putting a lot of faith in 3 kids in that rotation. But if they made this move to do right by Stripling I think that’s cool. They made out pretty well either way.
  6. Volgelbach’s tenure already over after what 4 or 5 at-bats lol? Poor Hazel and Arash. Did so much research on him for stories lol.
  7. The moment we signed Shaw I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. You know the right handed platoon partner he should have been paired with but never came. A lot of people here were convinced Shaw was going to turn back into the player he was with the Brewers. Outside of his exit velocity numbers hes been pretty awful and in and out of the lineup. Not ready to throw him away. But he should not be hitting third and he should not be facing Lefties ever. And have no problem with Villar playing over him assuming Villar is hitting well. Shaw’s still under control which is hard to believe because it feels like hes been around forever but he’s likely to get non tendered at this point.
  8. Oh it’s Kendall Williams that one stings quite a bit. I knew had to move someone of significance because of Stripling’s control but man does it not feel good giving away 6’6 Flamethrower with projection. He was a guy that might be #13 now but now but would have quickly made his way much higher on the list. The fact that he was #13 and only has like 16 professional innings under his belt is impressive in itself. These ones always make you a bit nervous. Lets hope Stripling’s struggles were a blip on the radar. Dodgers organization is smart though. You wonder if they make this trade if they think hes the type of pitcher he has been. Especially considering they have already lost a lot of its rotation depth. They must be extremely high on Williams.
  9. Yea would have loved to bring him back fo the organization. I think hes a guy that can just be a beast when he figures it out.
  10. The Dodgers identified the player they will make a star and got a lottery ticket. Butt clenched.
  11. Of all options how is Font always put in these spots. Like absolutely no reason to use him in games you are winning. We just took the effing lead. Why?
  12. Conine is probably slightly better than a lottery ticket. Obviously has intriguing Lefty power but strikes out at an insane rate.
  13. If nothing else Robbie Ray is a strikeout lefty out of the bullpen. For Bergen that’s low risk. Probably someone that organization identified as a player they want to bring in and fix. Acquire him early to get a jump on the free agent process.
  14. Tellez has legit power potential but has 2 glaring weaknesses that teams exploit regularly. He will never be a competent Major Leaguer until he eliminates one of them. Either laying off the high inside fastball or stop chasing every curveball in the dirt. He might put up a 30+ homerun in everyday at-bats. But he’s never going to get on base and has little to no defensive value. Those types of guys exist everywhere in this league. Its not a skillset anyone wants.
  15. Unless someone was prepared to blow their load for Bundy never made much sense to me for the Angels to move him. They desperately need to put together a competent rotation. Hes gotta be apart of next seasonÂ’s rotation. And they need to add multiple pieces to that.
  16. Hopefully Shatkins is locking in on Lance Lynn. Texas is in shambles. But we absolutely need a lineup addition. Whether its Asdrubel or Villar or both because honestly why not both.
  17. Padres are over spending on every deal it doesn’t mean every team will. This is just a prime of example of how important it is to build a great farm system. Not only for cycling in new talent regularly but being able to make trades like this without feeling your entire future is mortgaged.
  18. Josh Naylor recently transformed his body. He was fatter than Vlad and now he’s thin and looks athletic. That adjustment period would be extreme getting use to. Still has some intrigue for me. Quantril is probably going to be a good reliever for years like his father. Bust as a Starter but many do. Maybe Cleveland can fix him though.
  19. If that was the return I would be pissed. Jays could have easily topped that.
  20. Padres just trying to flex their prospect capital.
