  1. I don’t agree with this lol. I would say 20-25 range. Definitely not top 10-15. And not every major league team features an ace or even a top of the rotation starter. Hes a #2 on a good team.
  2. And this is fine perspective to have. Obviously both were under performing but it’s also only been a couple of months of under performance. SWR started the season on fire and then has struggled with command and lost velo on the Fastball. Austin Martin has been banged up and yea maybe the power is concern to some but it’s hard for me to imagine him not hitting. And the position versatility with high on base percentage was so intriguing to me because we just don’t have guys who get on base at high clips. I don’t like the trade. But it’s fine if others do. My dislike comes from the fact that it’s a move that was a little early to make. Without an extension it’s bit risking for my liking because at this point in time I don’t view the Jays as contenders. And this is very much a win now move. I understand we still have a full year of Berriors but we could very well lose him after that. Giving up both your best position player prospect and pitching prospect for a non elite player stings for me. If we made that trade for a Turner sign me up. That’s an elite player at his position. We gave up a lot for #2 Starter. If it was Martin or SWR and a host of lower level prospects would have been way more comfortable.
  3. I think we all do. But I feel a team will offer him a Shortstop job in the off-season to lure him away.
  4. Well that’s a good way to make up for it.
  5. So either George decided he was going to third no matter what or Rivera royally f***ed him.
  6. WTF just happend. The ball was literally in the infield when he decided to go to third
  7. Honestly probably not. A little more control is nice. But when I think of trading 2 elite prospects I would have preferred more of an ace type with an elite K rate. And would have added even more to land that type if available. I think the price was steep for Berriors not that I don’t like him. Clearly the Jays front office really really likes him.
  8. Montoyo’s logic for resting Vladdy is stupid. Just say he’s getting the day off and say nothing else lol.
  9. Yet you’re the one making a huge deal about it lol. You could simply choose to ignore it.
  10. If Berriors pitches like the value he was traded for I would never “whine” about it again. All I said it’s tough to wrap my head around the value difference. You decided that was me whining. This is a litterally a message board where people share opinions.
  11. No but he’s a far superior player that would have added more value over time. Glaring opening at 3B where Bo could have shifted over.
  12. Its not whining its questioning asset management.
  13. I would have gave up what we gave up to get Trea Turner alone. Who most would value way higher than Berriors. Must be nice to be the Dodgers. Seemingly unlimited payroll with the abillity to bend teams over in trades on a regular basis.
  14. Still blows my mind that the Jays gave up more to get this guy then the Dodgers did to get Max and Turner. I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to wrap my head around that.
  15. Giving up 2 prospects of that caliber for a non ace or star player is just absolutely unacceptable.
  16. Honestly if they hit a double in the gap fine. I will live it. Losing because of walks is an absolute disgrace
  17. If the Jays want to be competetive this season they need to address both the bench and the pitching staff. Can’t afford to wait until July. All these games we have lost were extremely winnable.
  18. We might need to make a trade for some bullpen help. Can’t afford to let the bullpen blow games multiple times a week
  19. What a rise up for Bergen lol. Hes been like traded twice and returned to be in this situation lol.
