I think they can do both. The Bullpen really f***ed us this year. They went hard after Liam Hendriks so they were prepared to spend bullpen money. If you can target one or 2 guys that can really make a difference you go after them. They can always find cheap options to complement the team. Not so much this year but the past this Front Office has got some dirt cheap gems. But when the difference in making the Playoffs this season came down to the Bullpen. You really wish you spent some money.

Maybe the jacket can be used for just great accomplishments going forward.

It does kinda suck when you look at the NL East and the winner of that Division might finish with a worst record than a 4th place team.

Anytime you take a record from Roger Clemens you gotta feel good about yourself. It is truly nice to have an elite strikeout Starting Pitcher. It would be nice if we could get a few elite K rate guys in the Bullpen.

Honestly a good call by Montoyo getting him. Hes worked really hard in a couple innings tonight. No point pushing him 110+ pitches in an 8-0 game.

Ray had 45 walks in 51.2 innings last season. Through 163.2 innings this season he only has 40 walks. Absolutely crazy.

No chance Ray only gets 4/80 at this point. You’re looking at 4/100 at the minimum. More if he wins the CY Young. And he will be looking at 5-6 years.

Actually slighty intrigued by Jake Lamb addition. If he can run into a few Homeruns at the bottom of the lineup that would be fantastic.

I think the only obstacle resigning Semien might be a team willing to offer him a Shortstop job. I have zero doubt they will be willing to pay him. But is he ready to give up Shortstop forever is the question.

35 bombs from your Second Baseman is a lot of fun. I remember how many years that was blackhole position offensively for us.
