  1. Yes and no but I just feel the Jays can be shut down relatively easily. They don’t consistently string hits together or get the big hit. Outside of Bichette the team really lacks any dynamic run scoring potential. Even the Jays increased stolen base numbers seem to be inconsequential at times. Really just lacking that reliable middle of the order bat to get a big hit. Chapman has not consistently been that guy for them. And nobody has really stepped into that role. Belt has been the closest thing and he hasn’t been consistent either. It’s just not a very good offensive team. Low OPS and low on base guys.
  2. It's surprising and its also not. Tampa had an insane start to the Season but since that time they have been a lot more human trading wins and losses more often than not. You got your surprise teams like Texas and Baltimore who have both been consistently good teams. But not really going on any extended runs. American League is certainly wide open to a lot of teams. And feels the Jays have under performed record wise. But I still feel if the Jays run into any team with 2 or 3 good starters in the playoffs they are in a lot of trouble. They just aren't scoring runs at any kind of consistent base. It usually takes an unsung hero like a Cavan Biggio, Danny Jansen, or Kevin Kiermaier to win a game if the top of the order isn't performing. The middle part of the lineup is just really rough and the bottom of the order is basically Danny Jansen running into one or Kevin Kiermaier having a good game turning over the lineup.
  3. Lets do better than that Imagine where the Jays would be without Richards in the bullpen eating up valuable innings.
  4. A name that hasn’t been brought up around here these parts is Lane Thomas who is having a monster season with the Nationals 13 homeruns .850 OPS Only 27 years old Blue Jays traded him for international free agent money!
  5. They just have seemingly unlimited prospects on the way.
  6. So I'm curious did they just start doing an MLB Draft Combine this year? I swear I had never heard of one before.
  7. Its not Carson Kelly has been any better. He also hasn’t thrown out a base runner. 8 steals in 7 starts.
  8. We need to get Biggio more sex! Dude gonna lead the team in homers by September.
  9. If you would have told me in Spring that Kikuchi was going to be 7-2 with an era under 4 at the end of June. I would have assumed the Jays were 20+ games over .500 and in First Place in the division. Instead were 7 games over .500 and in 4th place.
  10. Biggio is a much better player than Espianl. Espinal f***ing sucks. Atleast theirs a history of intrigue with Cavan.
  11. Why would you want him to fail lol.
  12. Looks like Jamie Ritchie might have his Major League dreams come true.
  13. I feel a good Right Fielder also catches the line drive hit by Vlad. But Ruiz has had a few balls over his head that I feel an above average CF catches. Especially that Espinal double.
  14. AROUND THE HORN to get the double dip!
  15. Trent Thoronton just can't disappear. I feel like he has unlimited options.
  16. This should have been a spot for Jansen. I just don't understand why you wouldn't let Jansen pinch hit for Biggio. Lefty on lefty. Biggio rarely see's him. Visible confusion.
  17. Rooker should have his Outfield glove taken away forever for that effort lol.
  18. Kikuchi once threw a complete game against us. And our fan base goes absolutely f***ing crazy if he pitches more than 5 innings as a Jay lol.
  19. Unlucky or just punished for his mistakes. His slider is nuts the majority of the time but every once in awhile he will hang a cement mixer and other teams don't miss it.
  20. Well I can tell that kid has no future in Baseball.
  21. I’m enjoying it way more than Joe Sidal’s dryness.
  22. I mean hes come into some tie game situations late. Or extra innings with the ghost runner and gave up the lead. But hes been good most of the time. Can’t really blame him to much. He’s also not making much money. Its not like he signed a huge deal is under performing. I just feel he’s the least of our problems. Im all for adding another late inning arm so he doesn’t have to pitch as often though.
