  1. I would love to see the biggest Jays crowd turnout ever.
  2. Almost like he hasn’t missed a best despite missing 14 months.
  3. Lol no shot. Thornton sucks we have been down this road many times. If he carves himself out a half decent big league career going forward kudos to him. Jays are aiming higher.
  4. But the Shermantor told us he was done. And we were Infact stupid to waste a one year contract on him.
  5. You do make a lot of good points and agree with most of it. This is very difficult market to rebuild in especially coming off those playoff teams. But if they had just rebuilt and sold high on Donaldson among others we would probably be a much better team today. This fan base doesn’t know what’s good for them. I felt the writing was on the wall but they wanted asses in the seats more than anything else.
  6. If he throws four pitches as a reliever and struggles with command that's obviously an easy fix to cut him down to 2 with maybe an occasional use of a third pitch. He obviously has velocity. He's got whiff in his career except for last year which was a bit of weird year but he's back to getting whiff this year. Obviously some stuff to work with there. And they basically get to take a long look at him until the end of next Spring to see if they can figure it out.
  7. He had me in the first half but as soon as I saw righty knew he was a twitter scout.
  8. Hopefully this time someone claims this him so he doesn’t weasel his way back into the mix.
  9. I like this. Fastball velocity and whiff from the left side. Cheap pickup with some upside.
  10. They will use their position player prospect capital to add a good Starter. I don't know if they well shell out big for rentals. But I expect them to go after Dylan Cease type. And they will have plenty to spend in the off-season. Maybe they can acquire Giolito now and resign him. I don't expect them to be in on Stroman. But now that I said that they probably will.
  11. The Orioles current regime were basically forced into years of terribleness that they couldn't control due to how terrible the previous regime was. But what they have done is successfully navigated themselves out of it and put themselves in tremendous position to win and win for a long time. Last year is an excellent example of this. They could have easily bought last year and snuck into a wild card spot. But they knew even if they were playing better and putting talent in more places they still weren't ready to contend. So they actually sold and continued to stock the cupboard. Now they have young players all over the diamond with blue chip prospects at every level and will just continue to funnel good quality players to the Big Leagues. They are in the drivers seat right now and do whatever they want. I absolutely wish the Jays went for a similar approach and built it up much slower focusing on acquiring prospects and drafting at the top of the draft. Instead the moment they saw Vlad and Bo have success early success in the Majors and the fan response to that excitement. The front office collectively blew their entire load. And just spent money like crazy and traded away so many prospects for veterans. Even though a lot of the prospects ended up being s*** its not the point. They banked everything on Vlad and Bo being Superstars instead of continuing to develop of pipeline of young talent around them. Instead Bo and Vlad were hitting #2 and #3 in the Lineup and it was about getting as much veteran talent around them. And to their credit they have been in the playoff picture every year since 2020. Lets hope it pays off in a World Series victory while this window is open. Problem is once this window is closed will probably slip into mediocrity for a handful of years. Especially if they can't resign Bo and other good players don't emerge.
  12. I would be having a lot more fun with another bat in the lineup.
  13. Trading him now would be kinda dumb. In the off-season when we can show a well angled workout quick of him being in the best shape of his life is the time to strike.
  14. Good to see the offense come on late after early struggles. Need to get on a run. A lot of winnable games on the horizon.
  15. Snell walked 7 and only allowed 1 run lmao. Only the Blue Jays
  16. Lineups always gross. Team can’t hit.
  17. June 20 (1:07pm start) Bichette - 1 Point - Vladdy - 1 Point - Springer - 2 Points - Spanky, Omar Chapman - 3 Points - Kirk - 5 Points - Merrifield - 6 Points - JaysAllMighty Espinal - 7 Points - Kiermaier - 7 Points - Luplow - 8 Points - Off the bench: 10 Points - Jonn
  18. This team just can’t hit and it sucks
  19. Like look at Dave Hudgens and Donny Baseball in the dugout. Both 60+ years old. In better shape than half our roster lol.
  20. Varsho can't start anymore. Enough is enough.
  21. Bautista and Donaldson were in tremendous shape in the prime of their careers. And Donaldson was a fat chubby young guy. So having that kind of mentor around would have done wonders for Vlad.
  22. It just sucks that our starters have to be basically perfect because of the ineptness of this offense.
