    I wouldn't hate adding Bruce if were getting him at a discounted price. What do the Reds honestly expect to get for him even if they ate significant salary. Maybe the Blue Jays feel they can fix him otherwise this doesn't make much sense. Especially with our new regime.

    So the focus should not be on how we are going to resign Edwin and Jose but how to replace them. I love Bautista but if hes looking at 5-years 100+ million you trade him if were not a playoff contender or take your compensation pick.

    We have a new president and gm. Things are going to be handled a lot differently.

    Mars hopefully. It will be interesting to see if he's actually healthy and for how long he can stay healthy.

    If only Pillar all of a sudden developed patience overnight. It would be really nice to look for a more viable option in LF. Dexter Fowler would be a nice fit but draft pick compensation ruined that. Tulo protecting Edwin would be nice but Pillar should be hitting 8th or 9th. Hopefully Dan Shulman takes over full time. As long as he does College Hoops I think he will be happy. Blue Jays season doesn't interfere with that.

    Yeah that was pretty significant I would say.

    I think something would have to go horribly wrong for us to not be in the playoffs. Boston probably snags the division but we are playing in that wild card game.

    Doesn't sound like they have any plans to offer them extensions and just want to play out the year.

    I didn't even know this policy existed. Another reason to be glad hes gone.

    The only arguement the Blue Jays would have had in arbitration is that Trout probably should have won MVP.

    That's if he gets better. He could get injured or he could simply just not play as well. Nothing is a guarentee. If he has another MVP caliber season we will save some money. Nothing else really to say. 2 years $29M instead of 2 years at around $33M through arbitration.
