    I don't think either of them are going to require a 5 year commitment. Bats is 35 and Edwin is 33 they will get 2 or 3 year deals. Which I would be very comfortable with. Nobody is giving them 5 years until they are 40 and 38.

    Shapiro at it again! In all seriousness I don't understand why he doesn't go back to Japan to both play everyday and make more money. Looks look like he will playing in Iowa next season and that kind of sucks.

    I don't think they owe him anything. Its not Shapiro's fault Dunedin sucks. I would be fine with bringing him back on a minor league contract. I just really doubt his ability to stay on the field and his injury really diminished his tools. I just hate wasting money. Even if its not my money. Hopefully he shuts me up. Just don't agree with him getting a guaranteed salary. Or taking Donaldson to arbitration.
