  1. Good timing lol.
  2. Holy f***.. The Padres non-tendered Tyson Ross. I would be all over that if I were Shapiro.
  3. Castillo would be a fantastic pick-up. I'm curious if he would come cheap enough to make sense as our back-up, and if he would even settle to be one.
  4. lol I can't help it. I find that guy's talent/potential equally fascinating and frustrating. Ok, I seem to remember Ray making good posts. I will change my answer to him.
  5. Who else is a rookie? lol All I could think up was him, nextyear, and other jobbers who no longer post?

  7. Ricky Romero couldn't throw strikes or strikeout anyone. How is Stroman like Romero? The writing was always in the peripherals with Romero.
  8. Yeah. It was cute at first, but it's quickly becoming annoying. If I wanted to read posts like that I'd go to Sportsnet comments or Facebook.
  9. I mean, if we sign Fowler, I'll be happy, but, but from most interviews they seem to be super risk-averse to both long term deals and dealing prospects, which lowers the chances of us getting anyone decent this off-season.
  10. Imagine if he manages to hone in on his pitch usage and effectiveness from July and August? He would be a monster.
  11. Nice response; no response.
  12. Nope. The burden of proof is on you since you made the statement. That said, how about looking at Biagini's MiLB numbers as a starter and comparing them to Stroman's.
  13. I'm curious to see if his explanation is that stupid ******** that Zaun spews about his height.
  14. How is it safe to assume that? Please explain.
  15. Stroman had a 3.41 xFIP and 3.71 FIP this year, Biagini can very easily do worse than that.
  16. Would rather sign Fowler and KEEP Stroman+ that prospect.
  17. Weird. A Thames pickup would have seemed like just the shrewd signing Shapiro/Atkins have shown to do.
  18. We can only hope my friend. I just hate that there's a realistic chance he's a negative asset, with respect to his contract, next season. Even absorbing the contract and giving up no prospect capital is risky.
  19. I would be fine with that.
  20. Imagine if we gave up anything of substance to get him as well? I would be pissed even giving up someone like Rios for him.
  21. Maybe, but that defense really squashes any type of offensive value he could give us. If he was going to be our DH, sure, but Morales is there.. If we could teach him to play 1st competently, maybe I would bite at that, but trotting him out in LF/RF each night sounds horrendous in every way.
  22. Just thinking about it gives me nightmares. What can they possibly see in him to put him in the outfield. He's worse than Saunders and he was excruciating to watch out there in 2016.
  23. How was it in 2015? It could be a high BABIP skill?
  24. That would be nice. I suppose I'll have to wait and see what happens this off-season or even next, with that crop of talent.
