  1. I agree, let Loup, Dermody and Chris Smith battle in out for the LH roles. I'd sign Holland if left to choose between Valbuena and him. I don't love it, but I can live with Pompey/Upton in LF until Alford pushes them out.
  2. If they simply just add Valbuena, I'll consider this a fantastic off-season. It's still a good one without him though.
  3. Wow, good to hear! When is the overall Top 100 coming out?
  4. That's a whole lot of handsome 😉
  5. Are you referencing Trumbo here, because I think KingKat was discussing pushing Pearce to the OF in favour of Trumbo at 1st?
  6. Yeah... f*** that in its ass.
  7. Great article. I wish he touched on the Slider a bit more though!
  8. I agree. I would also suggest that a qualitative value should be placed on the knowledge and tips he likely provides to the other hitters in the dugout. I know Josh Donaldson has commented on this before. The walk rate spike this past season "could" have been some evidence of that, along Donaldson just being super f***ing good and improving on his own.
  9. I love dreaming . He seems like such a smart kid, from his interviews. He seems to understand his swing and tries to cut it down with 2 strikes. He honestly could be someone who would really benefit from playing alongside (and talking with) Josh Donaldson on a regular basis.
  10. Yep, he could be up to replace Smoak real quick! Let's hope that's the case!
  11. Holy s***.. That's a lot of text. Wow.. I would lock up Stroman specifically right now.
  12. I think we're too risk-averse for that haha, but the odd pinch hitting gig or DH duty could be possible?
  13. Don't forget Otani. He's posting next off-season as well. He would be my target!
  14. I would tend to agree with this. Next off-season is the time to make a splash.
  15. That's true. If we get reports about his stuff being more nasty, I'll be stoked.
  16. Agreed. That said, I'm not sure how much his stuff would really play up in the BP. All he really seems to have is a great FB. He's not good at missing bats either.
  17. They want that draft pick.
  18. I'll miss this the most LOL.
  19. I wouldn't go more than 2 years with Bats. That said, you could always look to trade Morales once Tellez is ready to inject some youth.
  20. If he's starter depth, that's good. His GB% is great. I'm not sure I see his stuff playing up as a LH in the BP though, he's rather poor at missing bats.
  21. At this point, with the options available, I'd be ok with Moss and Revere I guess. I don't really want to give up what it would likely cost to get Jarrod Dyson. Hell, I'd rather we just sign Moss and then give Pompey the RF job.
  22. I guess you could just hope we're leading after the 7th and spot in guys like Upton and Pompey for Bautista/Pearce in the OF.
  23. Sure. But if it wasn't working I doubt he'd be winning that award. He may be old and living on an island in his own mind, but if he's getting results meh?
  24. If the choice was Aoki or Moss, I would take Moss, but the guy had an OBP of .300 last season. In a lineup that has power coming from Donaldson, Morales, and perhaps even Tulo, I'd like to see us sign Bautista and trade for Dyson to address both power and OBP without the high chance of empty ABs. That's a fair point. Well said.
  25. Whiffing was one of our largest issues last season and, from what I had heard earlier in November, signing contact oriented players was one of the proposed solutions to that. Sure, he could mash in the RC, but, personally, I would rather sign Bautista and trade for Dyson so we'd have power (Bautista) but plenty of contact and OBP (Bautista and Dyson).
