Foley with another good start. 6 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 0 R, 5 K (7 GB / 2 FO) ERA is down to 4.04. The results are quickly matching the peripherals.

Lots of pitchers do, even great ones like Scherzer, I wouldn't hold that against him. Maybe he's a perfectionist?

Inconsistent sure, but loads of swimg and miss. His walk rate so far in AAA isn't actually that bad, all things considered.

Borucki's K-rate has dropped from nearly 9 last season to 6 this season. I wonder if there is cause for concern?

Would be fantastic if we get Grosh, Kloff, Conine, and Pardinho in Lansing to start 2019. And hopefully the lot of them move up to Dunedin to finish said hypothetical season as well.

It's possible? Maybe they bump him to Bluefield or Vancouver to be with Conine? I bet in all depends on where Kloff goes. I see us trying to keep them together like Bo and Vlad.

Having watched the game on Gameday and, now, MiLB.com, I can safely say SRF was royally squeezed by the Ump. Like 13 clear strikes were called balls leading to 3 walks, which should have been 3 ks. He was a lot better than hisline suggests.

Nope; McGuire is, and from what I've read, framing isn't a weakness for him. The bright side is Foley has 5 k's through 2. Should have 6 ks and no walks though tbh..

He still struck out the side though, so that's great.

Foley's getting squeezed by this ump. 7 of the last 8 pitches called balls were strikes on Gameday leading to walks.. He struck out the 1st 2 batters as well.

Damn.. They're going to be beauts!! What a promising farm! Agreed. That would be awesome. Wonder if Kloff will soon join Grosh & Griffin in the GCL soon? Or maybe the 3 will debut in Bluefield together next season?

Jonah Kerri seems to think if JD goes on one of his usual MVP type tears, he could net us Mike Soroka. If that somehow happened, I'd lose it with joy.

He hasn't been caught by Jansen since, and, during his poor 2017, Jansen was his main catcher. Coincidence or not, Jansen has admitted his game calling is WIP, so there's something to that.

Since that 1st start in AAA, where Jansen was game calling, SRF has been amazing.

I think Gibby is gone after the season and not because he hasn't been gone. I think his laid back approach is great for vets but may not be ideal for youth movement.
