    Yes, he's very young in AAA, which is another reason to not rush anything. Leave him there to begin 2024 and see if the splits improve while maintaining/increasing the ISO. You need to account for regression in a promotion to the big leagues, because it's the largest jump. Without fact checking this, I would assume K rate jumps by somewhere between 5-15% from AAA to MLB. With Orelvis' holes, a 27% likely means 40% in the bigs which is like what Belt was sporting earlier this season. It's not really ideal.

    I mean they do chill with them, that much is a fact. The players themselves talk about it on their podcast and there's pictures of them with the players in bars and stuff. Posters here may find them annoying, and that's fine, but some of the players genuinely like the guys.

    That's them yes lol. Funny bunch of dudes, and they party with many of the players and have them on their podcast and shoot the s*** from time to time. Janson chills with them too.

    #3 is confirmed. Clement, Luplow, Swanson and others party with the Gate14 crew and drink at bars with them.

    Something is definitely going on there. I'm hoping they are just starting his summer conditioning & pitch development work early and it's not Manoah throwing a temper tantrum.

    I'm so tired of Garcia, I hope Green worked out the kinks and can soon replace him in these spots. Garcia should be 8th man.

    I agree that K rate needs to be no higher than low 20s for me to be comfortable bumping him up.

    Similar vibes to Pearson, like a Pearson+. High velo, decent breaking ball, no idea where anything is going. Ideally Green is the 8th inning guy because he has ice in his veins, just not sure if his stuff is good enough this soon after TJS to be given that role. Next year, for sure, as the velo is usually much better the 2nd year after TSJ. That said, I would still like him there. Richards or Swanson are nice 8th inning guys too. I don't trust Mayza as that guy though, this season is very much positive BABIP fueled. His HR% is far lower this season, while everything else is similar. His xFIP is actually higher than 2022.

    Agreed. Biggio can only really play 2B, 1B & corner OF, he can be upgraded with Horowitz who plays all 3 as well. The downgrade defensively, which won't be much (Biggio isn't some Defensive Stalwart), is massively upgraded offensively. Espinal is upgraded by Clement who is just as good defensively, possibly better, and far better offensively. Horowitz also replaces Belt at the same time, which allows us to add someone else to the roster as well. Schneider replaces Merrifield at 2B/LF. Then you bring in a FA stopgap at 3B and allow Barger/Martinez to hit their way up in AAA.

    Vlad & Springer seem to have the same issue. They just swing at whatever with no real idea or approach. I just can't understand why Schneider can come up, have such a simple approach, have ridiculous success from it, and no one looks at that and decides, "Hey, maybe I should try that too?"

    Springer has some really poor ABs sometimes. Super frustrating to watch sometimes. Just swinging out his shoes at pitches he can't do anything with if he makes contact.

    Vladdy just strolling around the bases with 2 outs and the ball in the air? What the hell is wrong with this guy?

    It's simple and beautiful. He sits fastball in a specific location until he gets 2 strikes and takes everything else. Once he gets to 2 strikes he tries to defend his strikezone box in his mind and bring barrel to ball. The entire Orioles team has the same approach. If Vlad did this every AB he would have his 2021 numbers again. It's baffling.

    He hasn't been great overall for the past 3-4 starts I believe.

    That might be a case of needing better defense in the OF to make up for worse in the IF. They are probably expecting more GBs to go through so want better OF to handle what makes it through.

    How do you not have Horowitz in that list?

    Espinal really needs to be demoted after this game. Call up Ernie Clement. He's better defensively, and probably offensively.

    DH is likely filled with Horowitz, and Jays FO are probably hoping 2 of the Schneider/Martinez/Barger crew fill out 3B & 2B along with Biggio. LF is the spot to fill via FA or trade in my opinion.
