  1. If that's the cost for Darvish, Bryant must be peanuts.
  2. If we include LGJ, the hit may not be that bad in prospects for Lindor. His market for that cost in COVID times is relatively small. Add in Carrasco and it's more, but still not crazy, since he had a poor and unhealthy 2019 and 2020 was a small sample.
  3. As would I. Most I would give up for Lindor is below: LGJ, Hiraldo, Adams & Murphy But I would rather try and get Carrasco as well and maybe reshape the deal: LGJ, Jansen, Hiraldo, Pardinho & Kay
  4. Ok so now that we know the cost for Snell, what do we think the cost is for each of below SPs? - Yu Darvish - Carlos Carrasco - Luis Castillo - Sonny Gray - German Marquez
  5. Darvish is an odd one, he was the 2nd best pitcher in baseball according to fWAR in the shortened 2020 and was good after his adjustment in 2019 as well. That said, he is pretty old and has 3 expensive years left on his deal. He could fall off a cliff any year now given his age but maybe he's like Scherzer or Verlander? I think I would add to LGJ, personally, but I guess the question would be, is 3 years of Darvish, at his age, and price, worth more than 1 year of Lindor? If the answer is yes, then I'd probably offer below: LGJ, Hiraldo, Kay & Adams Hopefully that gets it done. I would hope, because of the factors I listed and the Cubs wanting to shed payroll, we could get it done without giving up any of our Top 8 prospects (Hiraldo is 9 btw), as I wouldn't part with any of below: Pearson, Martin, Groshans, SWR, Kirk, Manoah, Martinez, Moreno
  6. I agree with you. I'll just add that Martin is likely the CF of the future, and could be ready as soon as 2022. Then we can slide Springer over to a corner whenever Martin hits his way on to the team. This would be my ideal offseason: - Springer - Kim - Trade LGJ for Darvish
  7. Smashed, but, is it just me, or does he look like he put on a few more pounds since he started playing games?
  8. Sign Sugano or Paxton imo. Sugano/Paxton, Springer & trade for Lindor (LGJ & Hiraldo)
  9. I agree. The longer we wait, the more I'm swayed to thinking if it costs more than LGJ + Hiraldo, then "see ya later, enjoy losing money next season Cleveland.."
  10. That's what I would assume, or else why trade LGJ?
  11. I'd do either of below, but not sure how balanced it is: To TOR: Lindor To CLE: LGJ, Moreno, & Murphy Or To TOR: Lindor & Carrasco To CLE: LGJ, Jansen, Moreno, Hiraldo & Murphy
  12. I disagree. Harden is very one-dimensional. Pascal was horrendous offensively in the bubble but his defense was still elite. If you replace him with Harden and put OG at the 4, it's not a certainty that Harden doesn't become a liability on D and get targeted by Boston. It's possibly he makes enough shots to make up for it, but not a certainty.
  13. Manoah and Moreno tossed into the package is a big no for me dawg.
  14. Bryant & Kimbrel for Randal Grichuk and Riley Adams Then go and sign Springer I would do that trade.
  15. Case in point, packaging him & a Top 15ish prospect with LGJ for Lindor.
  16. I read it on reddit as well. Apparently Rosenthal confirmed it. No idea on term though.
  17. Yeah. I would much rather spend big on a position player and Springer or DJ look like the best choices. Springer would cost money and the 2nd round pick but that's worth it on paper. I would also trade LGJ, #8-10 prospect and #14-20 prospect to try and get Lindor. Don't really want to deal any of our top 7 prospects for Lindor. Otherwise, I'd rather just sign DJ. And then we could sign Kluber and Paxton to 1YR pillow deals. Hopefully a couple of Kay/Hatch/SWR/Manoah would be ready to take over if either of them get injured.
  18. I would choose Teo. I think the other two offer more in the field and are more likely to sustain/improve going fwd imo.
  19. Hmmmm. 1) Teoscar + Moreno for Lindor or 2) LGJ + Hiraldo for Lindor We know Cleveland have much less leverage than Boston did with Mookie because every team knows they can't afford Lindor at all. So I wonder if above would get it done? Teo won a silver slugger and still has a couple cheap years of control and Moreno is just outside the Top 100. LGJ has more cheap years of control than Teo and Hiraldo is further away from the Top 100 than Moreno but is a Top 10 prospect in our stacked farm. Then you can either move Biggio to the OF if Vlad comes in and can play 3B, or move Biggio to 3rd and sign Ozuna/Brantley. I'd prefer the latter since it's likely a shorter term deal and we have Martin and Groshans coming in the next couple years and one of them likely moves to the OF.
  20. Yeah I shook my head on that too. How does Manoah have no reliever risk with only 2b elite pitches and developing CH, but SWR who has 4 pitches and immaculate control has lots of reliever risk lol?
  21. Anybody with an Athletic subscription mind posting below? https://theathletic.com/2168808/2020/10/30/blue-jays-prospects-qa-keith-law-on-nate-pearson-austin-martin-and-more/
  22. Totally agree with this.
  23. Yeah I'd definitely like to see some long-term extensions for sure. Vlad could probably be had for cheaper than a year ago. I'd try and extend Bo, Pearson, and Teo as well. Kirk could probably be had for a very cheap extension given his humble beginnings. Lock up the core imo. For SP, I like signing Bauer. I also wonder if someone like Carrasco would be available via trade as well, and what that would cost now, give his age and recent history.
  24. 0% intimidating eh Bo? That aged well
  25. Ryu looks awful, no longer just BAB
