    You can clearly see where this horrible "pitch to contact" mantra is stemming from just looking at their pitching coach's career.

    Pete Walker is captain of the "pitch to contact" parade, he's admitting it as I type this on Tim and Sid.. Ughh..

    That's the problem with always try to locate down for contact, there's a higher likelihood of bouncing his off-speed stuff and it's easier to lay off regardless, since it's all down.

    All in due time. Look at Kluber and Kershaw's strikeout numbers in their 1st years, neither were over 9 K/9. Stroman struck out nearly 11 K/9 in the MiLB so he has the ability, just the wrong philosophy now.

    Exactly, We're more concerned because Stroman himself has been quoted as saying that this is his new approach.

    You saw that eh lol? That was my first time posting there. I figured I'd try and educate before all the dunces come in.

    Pretty awful. I blame Stro and Martin. Stro's stuff is far too nasty to be relying on BABIP all the time. They're also a team full of high career strikeout players.
