  1. Holy s***, and now Pillar walks LOL. Is this real life?
  2. I don't want to speak too soon, but none of our hitters are watching hittable pitches for strikes so far, they're actually hitting them.
  3. JD with a bobble .
  4. Given his arrogance, it's possible lol.
  5. Great approaches that inning from our bats.
  6. KK with an error? Say what?
  7. LOL well that performance certainly did cause a double-take, but a blind chipmunk finds a nut every once in awhile.
  8. That's so peculiar that his 2SM is routinely faster than his 4SM. I wonder why that is? Conventional wisdom would suggest the opposite because of the grip.
  9. Was he? I don't remember seeing that, but you could be correct.
  10. I'm curious as to why that's happening in this start, yet his velocity remained throughout his 1st start of the season? He's either already tired, only 6 starts in, or he's holding back in favour of control?
  11. For this season, his stats are extremely mediocre, but in 2014 he pitched 130 innings in the majors and looked pretty great, dominating at times. He was primed for a breakout until he blew out his knee and Buerhle/Walker/whomever convinced him to "pitch to contact" when he returned.
  12. He has it, the guy just has the wrong ideas about how to use it. Someone got in his head and told him to pitch to contact and now he doesn't look as dominating as he was from 2012-2014. This is who Stroman was before someone "fixed" him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g8JdhNGQsc
  13. Of course not lol, but they have the ability to be good, and guys like Martin and Tulo have traditionally had decent-great BB and K rates throughout their careers, so it's reasonable to think that their approach is the issue (between the ears) rather than their talent.
  14. Sorry, you're right, don't know how I messed that up lol. Tonight told us that the change-up is still an inconsistent pitch, which might be why his usage changes every start.
  15. Not 100% sure, but according to fangraphs, any SwStr% above 9.5 is good. http://www.fangraphs.com/library/offense/plate-discipline/ EDIT: just found this. http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/swinging-strike-benchmarks-for-pitch-types/
  16. Sanchez against the Rays 4/29/2016 103 pitches 12 whiffs 11.7% whiffs
  17. Nice post! Very positive.
  18. The pouty chipmunk.
  19. Come on Cecil, please be your old self tonight.
  20. Come on Smoakie bear!
  21. Yeah man, I remember that, we need to DL him, call up Tony Sanchez for now or something.
  22. Yep, just ridiculous..
  23. Yeah, that sounds about right.
