  1. Yes this is the last time I want to see him used in the 9th in a save situation. If he's not locating, he gets teed off on.
  2. f*** yes!!!!!! Wow!!!! McGuire pulled an Espinal!!! Thank you Reese!!!
  3. Hicks has been used 3/4 days, who else can pitch here if not Swanson?
  4. DeJong is that guy, and back-up can be Schneider. They've already said he won't kill you there, so he's fine.
  5. Espinal is awful in literally all categories except for vibes maybe, and his vibes are certainly not helping Vladdy hit, so he can GTFO. Send him down and call up Horowitz please. Schneider can be back-up SS until Bo is back and play 2B when DeJong is starting. Horowitz can play 2B when DeJong sits. Espinal & Biggio are not needed anymore.
  6. Yes, but predictability is absolutely a thing. Each pitch is in a great location but every pitch in the AB is in the same location, so Devers was able to sit on pitch and location and golf it.
  7. Ah I guess we'll take your major league experience over Siddall's then? Thanks Spanks.
  8. True. FB up and in or CH down and away.
  9. Schedule weigh-ins and bodyfat% measurements every month. Whatever they need to do, they absolutely should be exploring it.
  10. I just hope Espinal only starts if DeJong needs a breather, I don't want him or Biggio at 2B again this season, unless there's an injury. Merrifield & Scheider should be at 2B & LF the rest of the season with Varsho as Defensive replacement in the 7th inning, and the odd start against a hittable RHP or to spell KK in CF.
  11. He looks like Spencer with the Stache haha, so I like it.
  12. I guess pitcher performance comparisons with each catcher across a decent sample would be the measurement, or at least the best you could do. Just look at FIP & xFIP to remove the noise of BABIP.
  13. Defense great, game-calling not so much.
  14. Very logical! Apparently that's the Orioles hitting philosophy as well, or close. They sit on 1 pitch and location with each pitcher they face and if they don't get that, they spit until 2 strikes.
  15. If he doesn't then someone needs to be fired in the front office. It's negligence to be giving free reign of responsibility to prospects and top players in the organization to get fat and out of shape/stay fat and out of shape. Every single fatty on the major or minor roster has underperformed in some way this season, many in performance, some with health, some with both.
  16. Okillie Dokillie! I love it!
  17. Getting his s*** kicked in.
  18. This dude was going on about how he was going to prove everyone wrong for letting him drop on draft night, only to show up his 1st full season as a fat ass? What the f***?
  19. Masterful performance Kooch!!! Just killed it. Thank you John for keeping him in and letting him do it!
  20. Ok John, Kooch is at 88 pitches after 5, please please let the man work the 6th, and if he finishes it under 100, let him start the 7th. Our BP desperately needs the rest and we have a 5R lead.
  21. May we keep strength if Schneider takes out Kooch after 80 pitches again after the 5th.... Please John, let him go to 110 pitches if need be, just let him pitch 6-7 innings.
  22. I saw this today: This only reinforces my suggestion to do what you said, basically. Start Merrifield in LF and bring Varsho in as the defensive replacement every day in the 7th (and start Varsho only twice a week). This way you take advantage of Varsho's D and apparent late inning prowess (guessing the fact that he's a good FB hitter and late inning relievers mostly throw FBs plays a part).
