    Not sure if the plan is Manoah and pray but, if I would pick a player in the majors this year that hasn't played all year and is able to come back in September and make an impact id pick Manoah His swag and ahort-term memory (in a good way) mindset make him the perfect candidate to come out of left field and give you solid production.

    Im really excited foe the trade deadline and I hope the jays swing big here Id love it for them to have a 2015 type deadline where you get a Price and a Tulo type

    Id think his overall impact to the jays would be tremendous. Especially on clubhouse impact by adding one of the top sluggers this year to line up. I mean that's just my thoughts

    35 HR and counting so far this season id find room for him somehow. If Yankees add him that just too much pop in their lineup. Roster construction wise unless we add some high end RP arms it'll be a dog fight in a post season clash

    Prove me wrong Scheinder but having Loperfido and Jimenez in over Barger doesn't make sense on paper!!!

    Yup position flexibility is key. And the guys defenietly seem to oozing confidence and have a great thing going on for them. Loperfidos first game back post-game comments eluded to that how the feeling in the clubhouse is so great that it allows you to be loose and just be confident in going up there and hitting the ball Loperfido is a guy I've been high on since he came to the Jays.

    Yeah he does strike me as that type of guy. Straw too. It'd be so some interesting decisions on what the Jays will do if and when all of Varsho, Springer, and Santander are healthy. Youll probably carry Barger as a RF/3B . Effectively he's your 9th man that rotates in and out to give Santander, Springer, Bichette a day at DH. On the bench we will probably carry Lukes, Straw, and Schneider with Heineman. Not sure what to think of the idea of 3 OFs on the bench but at least Scheinder can play 2B

    That's the thing im unsure on. Not sure how much competition there will be when he's owed 100M potentially still and is 37 years old. If Jays buy they better be willing to absorb that tax bill because I wouldn't be up for letting other good players walk away at expense of DeGrom. He is 37 after all and his health could fall of any minute the way he pitches. Big risk and just not sure how many teams will take that risk

    Question for the analytics guys on here Do the numbers show Lukes is for real and can stick? It's such an amazing development that within a year Jays went to have such OF depth. If everyone gets healthy it'll be interesting Springer Varsho Santander Barger Lukes Schneider Straw Roden Loperfido Close That's a lot of MLB ready guys and i absoloutely think Roden, Loperfido and Clase need to get an opportunity. The kids have tools.

    where did this kid Gage Stanifier come from? Numbers are unreal and only 21. He's not on any baseball lists Anyone have the inside scoop on him if he's a legit project and has stuff?

    if DeGrom is a realistic target how much trade value does he really have? he's owed 37M for the next 2 seasons + a conditional option. The money owed on a 37 year old is significant, and I don't see why the Yankees, Red Soxs, Mets or Dodgers would go for him. if Jays are ok with being a luxury team, than us and maybe the Tigers or Phillies would be the only suitors. I think DeGrom could be had pretty cheap - asset wise. Adam Macko and Orelvis Martinez might get it done if you ask me. Dude is owed 100M and is 37 years old with a hefty injury track record.

    Just ease him in and put him in 5-7 hole He might have had a tough season to date but baseball is funny. Anything can happen and his teammates will get a moral boost . Can't until him and Varsho are back

    He's so underrated How about Lauer though? You guys think he'll stick and return to his 2022 / 2023 Brewers form? What a gift that would be. Hopefully Manoah comes back good too and Francis can turn it around

    What a mastecarless move by shatkins. Straw has been awesome so far and now we have plus intl bonus pool money to go after the top IFA Gold

    My wish list for this season is 1. Barger develops and he cements himself as the everyday 3B 2. Varsho (who's still young) takes the next offensively and can become a 30 HR per 162 bat. he was brilliant in ST. Can't wait to see him back in the line up! We do need to find a RH utility bat somewhere in a trade. Someone who can play Corner OF and 3B would be ideal.

    If Gausman ends up having a solid season this year he might very well be in the running for one the best FA signings of all time for the Jays

    Last few years it seems we were lacking LH bats but now it seems we're full of them and lack RH. Hope Atkins is actively looking for a solid proven RH bat off the bench that can play corner OF. because Scheinder is not cutting it and we're too heavy on lefties off the bench and in AAA. Feel scheinder is only playing by default because he's our only RH utility bat.

    i hated the idea of giving Vlad big money. and I don't like this deal. but i'm just a life long Jays fan, and now i have no reason to root against it. Let's hope he lives up to this contract now
