  1. Well I guess I reluctantly concur, but that Baulk could have played a major role in the final outcome had it not been for Tulo. Just seems too many mistakes are falling through the cracks and I think the only way to rectify it is to broaden the scope of what a team can challenge. It may be tough to get everything right as an ump but it isn't tough to rectify a mistake when you have video replay.
  2. This. Hard to to be too critical of Dickey start - he was very good in the second half. Saying that if he struggles early I hope Gibbons is quick to act. Ideally he gives us a a solid 6-7 innings and we can have Price for game 5 but all that matters is that there is a game 5.
  3. Honestly I would have suspended him for the duration of the playoffs. I'm all for a hard nosed play, but that was a garbage slide. Could be the turning point of that series.
  4. strange seeing Colby play so well, but would love for him to have a big day tomorrow followed by a Jays win. 8pm start time Wednesday would mean I don't have to sell my tix.
  5. gotta be Taylor Swift Or the Hip
  6. Also, It was announced earlier on fan590 and it's listed on the Jays website
  7. Does seem like a bit of an urban sports legend
  8. I don't think Stroman pitches twice anyway. Maybe only Price - I think they go with a 4 man rotation assuming to their not on the verge of being eliminated in game 4
  9. They should just get rid of all national anthems and just have a minute of silence sponsored by Coca Cola where everyone watches players sip Coca Cola for a minute in awkward silence.
  10. I think it should be, and hopefully it will, but there is a massive collective erection from the American media towards Trout. I think it will be close, thankfully the Angels didn't make the playoffs - that has to be a difference maker
  11. I think it's a tough call, Dickey has pitched really well in second half of season and tends to pitch better at home. Saying that Stroman has been lights out. Glad I don't have to make it.
  12. Saaviour, I Can't see Stroman getting 2 but I think you nailed the rotation - but wouldn't be surprised if Dickey got the game 2 start.
  13. The thing that is irksome is that we won't know a time until the wild card games have been played. I'm fine with an afternoon time slot, just give people the chance to make arrangements.
  14. No doubt we are the team who should be feared, but if let's say the WC winner comes into Toronto riding on a high and wins the first game vs price that could be very difficult to recover from in such a short series. Suddenly road team beats ace pitcher and has stolen home field and then we're looking at Stroman to pull out a huge game and he's barely got a handful of starts under his belt...
  15. I'm not worried so much about one particular team, but I am worried about a 5 game series vs any team. Luck and momentum play a bigger factor in a short series. In a seven gamer, I fear no AL team.
  16. I don't think 20 wins is the determining factor here. Sure it stands out, but what Price has done since arriving in Toronto is pretty damn impressive. That 2 hitter vs the yanks last week was the biggest games pitched in this city in 20 years and he was outstanding from day one. I'm biased, but I take Price regardless of what happens this next week.
  17. John Gibbons = manager of the year
  18. Even though he doesn't work the beat, listening to Bruce Arthur talk about anything induces a vomit like reaction. His pretentious no it all, anti-Toronto, attitude is just so off-putting. Rosie Dimanno comes a close second, but you can't fault her for having having bigger balls than most of her peers.
  19. Its hard to have tickets for games that don't exist yet - I think that's all it is
  20. I have a question guys: Do I have to buy all three strips separately or is there a way to just buy all of them at once? Thanks
  21. This statement is the truth of the matter. Every Team should be fearing Toronto. Facing Kansas or New York in a best of 5 would be the only scenarios I would be slightly concerned over, with the latter being possible but still not likely. In a best of seven I'll take Toronto over anyone in the AL. The NL has a few teams that will be tough match ups though - hopefully it comes to that.
  22. I'm guessing Friday vs the Red Sox, but Gibbons mentioned they will make it known Tuesday.
  23. it has to be Minnesota
  24. Well at least Baltimore is winning I just jinxed it didn't I?
