  1. Retarded
  2. He belongs in the same sentence as those other guys?
  3. Exactly. Why would they change it this year? Middle infielders have been getting injured forever and there's been no urgency to clean this up. MLB doesn't care and they'll just sweep it under the rug as they always do.
  4. There's swinging hard and there's swinging recklessly.
  5. That inclusion made me LOL

I hope not. I just put a spoiler on my tank and I'll be driving it around the city all season long.
  7. And we thought the Odor call was ********.
  8. Such a dirty slide
  9. I've slept on it...and left it behind. I'm a Leafs fan too...and I don't want this to be our Kerry Fraser. Here's the bottom line. Our Jays are in a slump. It happens to every team throughout any season...and it just so happens that the timing of this one is horrible. When you're on a roll, everything is going your way and you're winning games you shouldn't. And when it's not...you catch no breaks at all. We're seen what this team can do. Historically good offense. A ridiculous run since July 31st. We've seen great starting pitching...we've seen tremendous bullpen performances. The pieces are all here. The only question is, can they find themselves tomorrow and start righting the ship. The Jays blew a 3-1 series lead in '85. The blew a 3.5 game lead with 7 games left in '87. In 1989, after the 12-24 start, they had the best record in the AL the rest of the season (yes...that includes Oakland)...and Oakland still beat them 4-1 in the ALCS. In 1991, they were clearly better than the Twins on paper and yet they still lost in the ALCS. Winning a short series is hard. 1992, it was looking rough against Oakland, until Robbie's homer off Eck. In the same year, the Jays almost went to 0-2 to the Braves, if it wasn't for Sprague's homer off Jeff Reardon in the 9th. Let's see how this team handles adversity. Regardless of how it turns out, I'm proud of the team. They overcame a huge deficit against the Yankees and poured it on. I think this is something we can build on over the next few seasons and I'm excited when I look at it that way.

  14. It's not looking hopeful. But anything is possible.
  15. No. But you can't always tell...if he gets it just a bit off the end of the bat it can still look great off the bat.
  16. I wouldn't be comfortable with either.
